Actually it’s the point that he never thought his love was ever enough until he met him and then even then he didn’t he had already given up so he didn’t understand that emotion because he had never actually felt special love meaning that he was always cared about everyone the same so it’s weird for him to actually finally feel that towards one person but because Shuri has never actually left Him in the pointy he then later on understood it’s kind of the fact that he believes it’s never going to be enough that he does love him I think he just doesn’t understand it
