If everything goes well I think is more like a pretend to fool the system, you know like when mc needed to pretend death, the family may also pretend or sth like that. Well, if author want to make angst, it may has well be a real death and then a revenge plot or sth

Not really. He's just hurt. The aversion from simple affection hurts, especially that Jaehyuk did go through lengths to get Garam back and Garam agreed to be with him. If he wasn't ready, he could've said no. I think that was Jaehyuk's point plus he is sleep deprived.
