they don't speak their mind. That kind of attitude is so apparent to most of the main characters I read. Its always as if, the author tries to prolong the story and make more misunderstandings, he chase her, she regrets and then she realizes and then he blushes and "badum" then fin.

Iklies. I haven't read the novel yet, but I heard she will end up with-
the crown prince. I want a different ending, like Iklies and her. I heard Iklies will betray her by bringing the original ekhart daughter so that she will only depend on him. But still, obsess-boughtslave- is greater change than the cliche crown prince x protagonist ship.

For all the evil deeds she has done. It was for survival. At young age, she was taught to do well for her brother, and all she needs was appreciation and love yet none of that was given to her.
Raven, all I can see and feel is POWER. That scene where she first visited Gillian, damn, I was speechless. Women suffered and are oppressed, because 'MEN' in Kallas(?) are the 'authority', look at how powerful Ebony is. His Excellency lend his hand to Ebony not out of pity but because he knew that Ebony have the power to trample Kallas Men so-called Authority. Not because of her gender but because she is who she is. And the fact that the ruler in the other land is a Queen that do not have a man and a child, isn't that power? 'She can't because she's a woman' 'No, because she is a woman' 'A woman should do this and that' 'A woman should marry to a man' 'A woman should..' imbeciles. When all they do is bark, as if they are born to do so.
This story is so rare and beautiful. Perfectly conveys how one gender abuse authority or how someone can grasp that authority regardless of their gender.

Oh about Lippe, her story broke my heart. From the 1st chapters til the end, how her family treasures her and how she treasures them. She and her family did not deserve all those suffering. I fully understand why Lippe is scared and on the rush at a young age. I hope in this life no one dear to her will suffer.
