Yuri how dare u call Jaerim that! U selfish brat! If Yuri can't overcome his selfish wellbeing AND his delusional fears of ugly people then he definenetly wont be able to support Jaerim in life! Part now forever to give peace to dear Jaerim, and I know that Hyung he's recently become friends with is a bad person at heart but I'd way rather give Jaerim to someone who's going to look at him than someone who refuses to look at ugly people but contradict himself by dating one! (BTW Jaerim is NOT UGLY! Not only is he way average looking, he's a beautiful butterfly on the inside! This is not even comparing him to Donggyung yet!)
I think Jaerim is freaking ADORABLE. I usually fall into the trap of conventionally attractive vs unattractive, myself. But even though many people would find Jaerim unattractive in such a manner, I think he is way too freaking CUUUUUUUUTTTEEEE.

If you are able to ever read this again:
Jaerim is the protagonist, the "ugly" but the lesser "ugly" of the more "ugly" character
Yuri is the protagonist's (horrible at this point) boyfriend who can't stand ugly people and has the odd reddish orange hair
Donghyung (I think that's how you spell it) is the guy with the glasses and scar on the face who apparently is an introvert (lonely person, hint:me) who is hated by Yuri
^ is going to be abbreviated as DG (just because his name is just too darn long to spell)
Chyeo Hyung (?) is the guy with the blue navy hair who "saves" Jaerim and DG from the bullies in the alleyway but at this point if you haven't figured out that he's an antagonist, then either ur a newbie at reading this stuff or this stuff just isn't for u, also will be abbreviated as CH cause honestly he isn't as important as bae protagonist and bae protagonist's hateful boyfriend.
So Yuri is going through some over-9000-sh*t/stress and his is apparently too good enough to tell Jaerim? (Either way he should still tell Jaerim) and this is how the relationship between the two start to get wobbly. Jaerim is struggling to want to learn about Yuri's past (of course its all on a non-force want to know) but Yuri is trying spend the fun time around with Jaerim and shoulder all the hard stuff later in his "other life" (this does not imply that he's cheating on Jaerim, this is just my out of context putting of things in mad sarcasm).
At one point, it gets too much for Yuri to handle and he starts pushing Jaerim away, sometime during this (this pushing-away occurs at about a week and a half or two) DG transfers to Jaerim and Yuri's school (more unnecessary trouble). You can probably predict that from his (DG's) impertinent "ugliness" that Yuri's definitely 1 of 2 things: overreact rudely or date him (bc that's how he was with Jaerim at the beginning of the book) of course let's cross out the latter because there's going to be some severe punishing if #2 happens.
Anyways, so no1 is willing to tell Jaerim anything as he desperately tries to keep the relationship between him and Yuri "alive" while fending off the bullying he get's from school bc he's close with Yuri. It just so happens (coincidence or not) that one of the popular girls bullying Jaerim is dating CH, who pretends not to see the bullying. CH of course saves Jaerim and DG from bullies but this happens outside of school away from public eyes.
Sooner rather than later or ever, Jaerim comes to respect CH and calls him Hyung (respective term for someone male and older) while trying to get on DG's good side so he can learn relatively more about Yuri bc Jaerim has picked up on the fact that Yuri and DG have some kind of past together, but more than trying to know more about Yuri from DG, Jaerim feels genuinely worried about DG having no friends, so as people in relatively the same boat, why not be friends?
CH doesn't see the point in becoming friends with DG bc he's so rude, but Jaerim is a pressing bull and is persistent as ever. Well, his persistence comes to bear fruit as DG finally comes to at least saying "Hi" as he's never really thought necessary before. Also CH begins to hang out with Jaerim and at this point, I can see fire burning in CH and it's not the good ones that mean "I'm think I'm in love." It's the kind that say, "I've got dirt and I need to rough it out somewhere."
However, going back to my earlier statement/post, honestly and truly Yuri better start acting right or Imma "okay" CH making a move on Jaerim.

Quit treating Jaerim that way and tell him the god dang truth! Yuri is just at fault as Jaerim is. And there is NO love between Yuri and that new guy, just NO WAY! If there was a love past between the two, I'm droppin the mic and leaving ヽ(`Д´)ﾉ, of course I don't think that's the situation between the two honestly bc authors always gotta make you jump to conclusions.

Okay ik I said I was confused at like ch2 but my confusion has been brought to a while new level, I understand to a certain degree but this whole memory erasing is jacking up my misunderstanding, and dang just when it was getting good.
