I think there may be a reason why you don’t see her as attractive as the men. There are times she really looks pretty, when she’s not in the brainwashed mindset, but the author may be trying to convey a childishness in her appearance, due to the brainwashing and manipulation she suffered as a kid, in contrast to the men. That could be why you don’t see her as being attractive.
