when i read the first chapter i was sure i would hate taehyun because of a misunderstanding he caused and didn't have any remorse for causing, but as the story progressed and as i found out why he was the way he was i started sympathizing with him, to the point where it brought me to tears because he was blamed for things that he had no way of correcting. there is a lot that could be better but i believe that those faults are it's greatest charm at least to myself, i truly recommend this to anyone who wants to either have a really good cry or if they simply want to see taehyun grow progressively as a person.
of course taehyun and dayeol are still learning their feelings and it is a very bittersweet ending but it's the side stories that really have the effect of 'everything will be okay'.
in many ways taehyun still needs to become open and honest about his feelings and dayeol also needs to understand taehyun's actions better, i feel like if there was to ever be a second season to this then that's most likely what would happen, is we see them grow and solidify their feeling's for one another.
this is literally torture, i keep telling myself to wait and read it once the divorce is upon us but navier just can't fcking win, like my girl literally can't get mad at trashta because then she's taking her anger out on the concubine, can't get mad at sovieshit because she's just mad she can't get his love, can't be content with it because 'she's a fool' and now I'm just here hoping d-day comes fairly quickly because i think sovieshit will divorce her at the party? i mean it seems really likely for it to happen there and then she can pull the uno reversal card and be like 'i'm remarrying BITCH'

i had to reread that whole 'light blessing' shizz because sis really turned her white??? i mean why did the author think that was a good decision to make? it's not adding up, I know they redid the chapter so she'll be dark-skinned again but still, now it's just going to leave a bad taste in my mouth from now on because they really said 'let's make her white for the blessing'
Technically this would have been her original skin tone, given that her parents are that skin tone, but she was made black at birth because of the spirit king of darkness. So it kind of makes sense that her skin tone would change , I just think it would have been better it if we're a mix between the two skin tones

Mhmm. We know that "black = bad" "white = good" is used a lot for implying and foreshadowing etc etc but I think if this is the path they were going to take, they could have definitely cut out the dark skin > white skin all together.
What I mean is, there are quite a few blonde characters with light eyes. If she were to have black eyes and black hair to differentiate herself, that would have had the same effect. And, then during the blessing, instead of changing her skin they could have just simply changed her eye colour.
Of course it would be a huge loss on our part (since there are so little tan female mcs) but its better than "woohoo lets turn the tan girl white for plot!!"
Again technically not their idea. The tanned skin and black hair are hated because the former ruler of the darkness spirit destroyed the kingdom, with good reason ofc but you get my point. It is not her physical traits they hate but the extreme power. But doesn't stop them from being idiots hahahahah
They still could have left the whole tan skin deal out of it. Maybe replaced it with some sort of symbol on the skin to show that whole thing, whatever.

okok so i know people are like 'omg r@pe" but like,,, it's not and I really wish the translators had researched this, what hyung did falls under sexual assault, which means he forced sang hwa into a sexual position with the intent TO have non-consensual sex with him. HOWEVER, he did not physically touch sang hwa' pp therefore this is not r@pe but instead again sexual assault and before commenting this I did look this up just to make sure I was correct because as I said there is a very fine line and this chapter was teetering on being r@pe.
