That's not a valid excuse to kidnap her children and when she says she will kill herself if he doesn't let her go, he threatens harm on the children and even want to imprison her so she can't escape. I'm sorry, but when did we start thinking it was okay for him to kidnap and lock someone up because they had a rough upbringing. Sure I can see why he would be obsessed but that's not a excuse. All of this would have been avoided in the first place if he just straight up told her he knew it was her instead of keeping her in the dark and manipulating her until she finally found up and thought that her and her kids safety was in jeopardy leading her to leave from a toxic situation.

i've seen this comment so many times so i feel i have to set the record straight. mildred is showing ashley much more attention not because she thinks it's the cinderella story but because ashley doesn't know anything. i know y'all not that blind that you can't tell that ashley is clumsy and uneducated. imagine teaching a 17 y/o something they should have learned as a child, it requires a lot of attention. ashley had no one to depend on as a child because her father was trash and left her utterly clueless about how the world works. another thing i've seen people constantly bring up is when mildred introduced ashley first. the reason why she did this is again, is NOT because of the cinderella story she thinks she's in, it's because she's giving each daughter their spotlight. she introduced her children before ashley in previous chapters i believe so it's only fair she introduce ashley first as well. y'all are acting like the reincarnator is a mind reader and should know when her daughters are upset at her,,, when she's only human and has never had children before. this is all new to her, she's not gonna know when her children are upset at her if they don't speak to her about their feelings. she's doing the best she can with what she has. so chill out,,,
