Some of you are saying she is trying to be better. Shes not. Point. Blank. Period. Did you see the way she grabbed onto her daughter as soon as she saw her son. She refuses to overcome her past. So she is still the same neglecting mother she has always been.
Absolutely disgusting that she sent her son away basically because she didn't want to accept her own guilt (basically did not want anything to do with him) THEN has the gall to come around and try to play at a "happy" family in the diner.... THEN she treats her own son as someone who would harm his own sister...like wtf. Every single word she spoke to him was a lie and was only to satisfy her own guilt. She has zero regard for her own son. And still, years later she continues to try and have contact with him (via her husband). Just really pisses me off. There is no 'she's trying to be a better mom'.
I'm also curious how 'hitting makes them listen' formed for him and if it has any connection with his biological mother

That is the exact reason I struggle to understand the way parents discipline their children, but at the same time every child is different. So get your shit together old hag you see that what you were doing for your son is not working do fucking stop.
And the saddest part was the whole flowers situation, he is a kind and caring person. She just can't see it because she does not want to. I really hope she doesn't make the same mistake and that little girl with the same trauma.

I don't even think she's trying to see her son's point of view with things to even know that her actions are not working. Sometimes broken trust is hard to fix. The whole 'this is your sister YET I waited nearly THREE years to tell you'.. it's like?? Why did you choose now of all times to tell your son he had a sister?? I mean, she really just up and started a whole family yet can't even love her son the way she clearly loves her daughter.
It is sad because in that moment he was being emotionally vulnerable and trusting of his biological mom's words - to go and meet her and the daughter (even knowing that she neglected him) yet to be treated like a dangerous outsider.. I mean, emotional trauma from a parent can live with a person for years. Tbh I just hope we see him getting some sort of closure for that relationship (whatever that may be)
Yeah, Im just happy someone is able to love him (even if this love is a bit twisted). What this boy needs and unconsciously craves is love. Without it he feels the need to fill this void with sadistic pleasure. And yeah the fact that he actually went ahead and met his mom, proves he was willing to restart (whatever that may have meant for this broken family). A new start could have meant repairing those old wounds. Breaking those habits. A solid ground to stand on now that he has a younger sibling looking up to them. All these things could have been, could have meant so much if it was not for the dumb old hag
