Love love the uke! He’s so fine and has personality in spades but urgh, the spoilers bummed me out so much. I thought it would be 80 chapters, slow burn, plot of the uke saving Seme in some way, falling in love , being badass and taking down the bad guys. Nothing special but well executed only to find out it’s 6 chapters???
Why is this utterly perfect? The artist is so brilliant, the characters move and flow and have their own distinct body postures. It’s so impressive to see. They are gorgeous too of course. It lends itself to the whole making movies premise because the characters are so expressive you really feel like you’re watching them live out their lives.
There’s so much to love here. The characters are extremely well written and we get a lot of background for who they are. Unusual to see a Seme who’s just put here living his life in his own way. The mangaka captured so beautifully the painfully sweet and bitter moments of ending a chapter of your life to start a new one.
I am obsessed with the fact that the “I Love you” at the end was off screen. My heart can barely contain itself
What a treasure of a short BL this is.
