Glad to see many people agree that Keira's reaction was uncalled for and Erez didn't deserve that treatment. If I were Erez I'd stop helping Keira stat, like it took him a lot of trust and courage to reveal that he was a demon, knowing there was a possibility he would immediately be discriminated against. Unfortunately, Keira made that possibility reality.
I think the reason the author did this is to make it clear who the end goal is, who Keira will end up with. Making Erez a bad guy in Keira's eyes (even if temporarily, as I'm pretty sure they'll make up as soon as she lets him explain), pretty much automatically makes Joseph the hero and puts the spotlight on him. Joseph being there for her right now and comforting her will probably shift her feelings towards Joseph and then there's no going back to Erez (as a romantic interest).
