Chapter 105 is already out, but it is only the raw. The end of chapter 104 is amazing because of Mr.Mask. But in my opinion, the following chapter falls short. I want more of Mr.Mask. The glimpse of his face in chapter 104 almost seem like he is Yuri's brother. But then it would not make sense if he is the brother. Unless this is some sort of paradox in that world.
He thinks he is so cool because he has higher level and can control dolls. He thinks he can push around with the Gamer. Well, think again because the Gamer will start showing you no one messes with him or his friends.

I think I have read too much "sick" manga, since I keep getting the feeling the brother wants something from Suzu. I keep thinking he is some sick pervert that want to do something to Suzu. But that is probably not the case. Although, I cannot stop thinking along that line.

Also, I have a feeling that the stuff on the newspaper in chapter 16 where Suzu saw Tsugaru half naked, "Bloodshed in Yoshiwara" might also have something to do with the brother.
I thought she is around 12 right now, so that should make her around 10 or so during the downfall of her family.

But in the flashbacks that show a glimpse of how he viewed her when the family was still together he had some pretty heavy resentment towards her from way back because of her innocence/ignorance to her family situation. So I think the brother was aware that something bad was going down in the family years before they all separated. That's why he was going on about how much he hates the wealthy, because his family was involved in some heavy shit probably... But he was jealous of her blissful ignorance to it all since she was so young, and resented her for it. IDK, he's just so twisted. Guess we'll have to wait for the big reveal as to why he is that way.
It's definitely possible. He has it out for the rich and wealthy, so maybe he found out his family was into something bad, like earning their money through unjust means. And he was the only one to come out of the ruins and debt relatively unscathed. He's actually doing really well for himself even though it's only been a few years.
I also noticed the brother was doing fairly well but that makes me more annoyed that he didn't buy her back ...but we will have to wait for more chapters to figure out what the hell is going on..and as for his resentment, I agree its probably from her ignorance of the situation at the time and now he wants to break her and make her feel worse then he did/does..ugh what a creep.. ┗( T﹏T )┛
Thanks for the link. I forgot he made an appearance in the earlier chapter, because it has been so long since this story updated! Well, I don't exactly hate the brother per se. He is twisted, and he seem even more in this kind of story. I have read stories with even more twisted characters, but the brother seem especially twisted because of the context of the story. I am sure if his character was used in another story, he would almost seem "normal".

Yeah, that's true. Family ties seem to be a common plot device in a lot of manga. Blood relations, secret relatives, and adoptions are a common source of drama.
True true true. Well whatever it is, I hope it all play out nicely. I would hate it if the purpose for his action to be some frivolous reason. Personally, I think it would be great to make it more "dark". The plot and the characters have so much potential.

I agree. The story so far has the perfect set up for it to go darker. There have been hints of dark motives and actions sprinkled throughout so far. Being sold to a brothel, sisters mental decay, attempted murder then suicide, etc. It feels like the story is slowly building up to a really dark and traumatic storyline with the brother. If the mangaka chickens out and doesn't go that far with it I'm gonna be pretty disappointed.
I will be not only disappointed, but also try to forget about this story all together.
Also, since the recent chapters, I feel like something is really off about the older sister. It is like she is not all totally there. But then again, most of the flashbacks were from Suzu's POV and that could have alter with some of the events. Considering how young she was at the time, I don't really think she could fully grasp what was happening around her.
This thread saved me. I understand so much more now. I just this is what happens when there are such long breaks between updates in such a complex manga.
