So I was thinking. MC mission is to make ML happy. What is ML happiness?
Friends he can trust, stable income and free from his dad, and love.
While the penalty is death, MC is too focused on death, he overlooked that if he reciprocates ML's feeling, it will complete his happiness.
MC is too focus on his 36 days left. If he stayed 36 days, tell ML he actually also loves him, helped ML sign the contract etc. It's possible he will complete the mission and get happy ending, removing death penalty.
He chose to have more days to lives, for what? ML lost his love. How does MC think he will complete the mission, he can't even go near ML now. It's weird choice.

Rather than choosing 100 days but affection is back to zero. And I think choosing erasing Yeonwoo affection to zero is very unethical. MC completely took Yeonwoo as character instead of real person. It's totally like a game.
