I posted some of this awhile back but apparently I need to post it again as I still see lots of victim shaming towards Uriel because people are pissed he's interfering with the main ship and is found to be annoying. Personally I think he's fine?
But anyway, this is the worst comment section ever. Y'all are fucking wild. Victim blaming and shaming every where... The poor brother has every single right to react the way he does regarding the trauma the ML caused. He has PTSD. Him and his feelings are valid. Sure, you don't have to like him or whatever but he doesn't deserve to die and you can just "get" where the prince is coming because the brother is annoying/naive/too trusting/whatever dumb and unjustifiable reasoning you have. You guys just brush shit off or stay on the fence about whether or not Aquilla was a horrible person in the past which he WAS. I don't care what his reasoning was.
Aquilla has a very infamous reputation of being a ruthless, dictator-like person, and even a bit of a powder keg or ticking time bomb. Lamia and Uriel have every right to doubt his intentions when he all of a sudden does stuff that's highly out of character. Also, would you trust someone who purposefully abused and disabled you? Someone who abused and disabled your sibling? Hell fucking no. Trust generally does take some time to build but even more so when it is with a former person who has done beyond shitty things to you or a close friend or family member. Realistically y'all probably have a hard time forgiving ex friends or ex partners for whatever they did to you that was wrong. If one of those people in your life suddenly started to help you out of the blue and completely change tune you'd be wary and not easy to trust them because obviously there will be some notice behind it. Sure, Aquilla's motivation is loving Lamia but she doesn't know that and even if she did it still sounds hella shady because of his past track record.
Be realistic. Stop victim shaming and blaming. Y'all have a mentality in the sense of rape deniers when you say you doubt the second prince's abuse or side with him saying he's changed. "My son would never do that," "she was asking for it," "maybe she shouldn't have been drinking/partying/whatever the fuck somehow warrants a woman to get raped," "he's a good man you're just going to ruin his reputation," etc... All y'all say things that sound along those lines. "Uriel needed to stop being so naive/trusting/idealistic," "the second prince has changed now can't you see? Forgive him because he's saving your lives and pledged an oath," etc...
Unpack some stuff cause y'all really need to. Put aside your strong desire to just see your ship to sail because you're being shitty and perpetuating horrible attitudes and ones that are invalidating trauma.
Y'all have failed to transcend and realize that there is a true godly, ultimate route: poly. Melissa's a bad bitch you see, she doesn't need to settle for one when she can have two. Open relationships baby. Yuri and Nine both deserve love and they worship the goddess so why can't the goddess grant her love equally to both? Expand your minds peasants and stop fighting over inferior routes
So far this is instantly one of my favs I have never seen such an insolent, smug, mischievous, and witty FL. The story is pure gold and comedic. I'm just dreading the day the FL's hair grows out and she starts wearing dresses and probably starts being more traditionally ladylike because of the nature of the world she created. I hope she remains the same personality wise and still wears pants. Otherwise I'd be severely disappointed ngl. It'd be such a injustice to her character and the story
So idk wtf happened but why the hell did the Devil and Angel scanlation team fucking pull that shit when they announced they were dropping this manhwa? What the flying fuck fuck them. So fucking rude beyond belief. Just post the announcement and leave it. Even the "p.s. don't scroll down" was tiny asf and didn't declare it was a fucking spoiler. Fuck you Devil and Angel scanlation team.
So I read this on Line Webtoon and wondered if it was on here. I'm only saving it to my library to add to my list of top tier manhwas and webcomics because this is such an amazing story and more people need to read it. Sadly it's so underrated and it really deserves more views. Sure there's a lot of other manhwa and webcomics that are entertaining and stuff, I read a helluva a lot but few are actually as good and amazing as certain ones are. Space Boy is one of them. The characters are well fleshed out and it is one of the only webcomics I have seen that truly and accurately portrays what PTSD can be like and doesn't rush to absolve it or magically the character gets over it. For those thinking about reading this I highly recommend you do but please go support our amazing author on Line Webtoon.
By far this is one of the most interesting plots I have seen in a medieval themed manhwa and I'm all here for it. An archduke who isn't a tyrant who literally treats the MC awesomely since the get go? Including a mutually beneficial partnership? And let's not forget the other characters they're also very well fleshed and interesting. I love the feminism and slow burn revolt. Also the feminism presented is actual feminism and not a man hating pushy type that condemns women who choose to embrace particular feminity and presents the plucky pick-me quirky girl stereotype. The whole point of feminism is to provide women with the choice to choose who they can be and be of equal standing of men. This manhwa is definitely top tier and immediately one of my favorites.
I swear to fucking God I will murder whoever wrote this story if Navier ends back up with her asshole ex. I will legit go fucking sicko mode and Thanos snap on this shit. Other manhwa endgame endings have enraged me before but if this one ends in that manner... I'm all for her going with Heinley or Duke Kafman hell even anyone ANYONE but that asshole wrapped around Trashta's stinky finger
I'm only here for Knight honestly. I'm surprised the FL kissed him so early on in the story too but other than that it's just... Kinda confusing? Why not just have two rooms each like in normal chess? Instead of six? Also why not make the FL the queen, not the king? The queen is the most powerful chess piece. The king is a figurehead and has the power of a pawn. Either way the FL is as useless as the actual king piece is in chess, though, so at least she's deserving of her title. Pretty disappointed that this isn't better. Also FL just looks blegh. Her character design sucks while everyone else looks far better.
So far I'm only in the beginning, but I really like both Eleanor and Caidel a LOT. I'm so glad we have a ML (I assume he's it since he was introduced first over other possible LIs?) who is actually pretty chill and not just a tyrant with a soft side. It's very refreshing. And Eleanor is cute! I just hope we see her stop being such a klutz after some character development
Do any of the promos end up getting turned into a full series adaptation of the novels? I'm realllllyyyy curious because this looks so good
I believe its going to be turned into a full series soon
I've read a one or two that have but so far the majority haven't
