The whole point of the plot is about her relationships with the three men and of course it's not gonna be easy for her to break off any otherwise this probably wouldn't be a story lol.
For the first one, the MC went through trauma so it's understanable to cry throughout the first dinner she's had with a caring parental figure. Do none of y'all have daddy issues? That shit hit me like a brick and my dad wasn't as bad as her dad was but STILL. Shit happens and some stuff get pushed back.
For the second, can y'all witness people getting killed and also permanently disabling one yourself without being shaken to the core? Especially after someone deliberately toyed with you by letting you think they could get seriously injured. Plus the dude is supposed to be the one who will murder you. Like... How TF can you not think about what happened and what the psycho might do to you next?

Fuck. I grew really attached to Jade, Regan, and Ivonka so I was really happy to see Jade and Regan in the next story. I cried when Ivonka left. I'm also really surprised that the young boy who could read thoughts was that mature at the end. Though, I guess being able to see older and younger people's thoughts will change your own and you will see, feel, and learn things that maybe someone your age wouldn't have felt and known before. I really hope this continues, it's a really good manhwa
So I'm only on chapter 18 but I'm in love! All the characters are so funny and likeable, especially the ML(?) he's such an ass lol. I'm living for the dysfunctional ragtag group vibe it really adds such an interesting and refreshing dynamic that most manhwas lack. I heard it was dropped but picked up by someone new recently and In so grateful omg I'd die if this was just sitting there still. It's so good

I'm so sorry but it's so hard for me to get into the story without it being properly proofread. I'm halfway through chapter 2 currently and it is completely distracting and ruins the whole flow of everything. Does it get any better in later chapters?

Within the first 8 chapters, the ML is constantly forced to cross dress against his will and after being taken in by the Wolf Queen, he's coerced and threatened into having sex with her. It's fucking disgusting. Everyone likes to stand up for a woman's rights when it comes to sexual assault and harassment but often times when it happens to a man, people tend to be a lot more quiet about it. I understand that rape happened a lot back then quite openly, but the fact that it is romanticized through him eventually ending up with her because they're end game, is horrible. Sexual abuse is never okay and people who ship sexual abusers with their victims need to unpack some shit. Yes, I am calling y'all out.

Yea it was horrible. Long hair has such significance in certain cultures and for it to be forcibly cut off is very horrid. It's like force feeding a Muslim person pork. Many Native American men were forced to cut off their hair in many circumstances.

Most of the time when I call out nasty shit and bad behavior in a manhwa's fandom, I get a shit ton of hate. like I called out the gaslighting and unnecessary hatred on Uriel in the Lamia Orphe is Dead comment section and then also for the Uncle Cool comment section, I called out the age gap and how disgusting it was. Deadass the story starts with her being 16 and the ML being 32. I expected them to be in their 20's with maybe a 7year age gap tops but no... And the ML literally views himself as like a mom taking care of a child multiple times throughout the first chapters and it's beyond disgusting. People like to excuse it by saying that stuff doesn't happen until the time skip or whatever when the girl is 19 but ??? She still was treated and viewed as a child by the ML who is twice her age.
I can't tell whether it's because most of the fanbases are younger readers or they're just crazed and only care about seeing their ship sail. Maybe both. I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way about all this weird and nasty immoral crap.

I'm only on chapter 15 currently but this manhwa has me captivated. I never even knew about what was happening in Korea at the time. In America, we only vaguely learn about the treatment of Koreans, especially Korean women, during the Japanese occupation during WWII. I'm learning so much from this.
The story though is quite sad. I feel both the pain of Sooha and her master, though that does not excuse how her master did abuse Sooha at times. This story is so insightful to how women were treated at the time, showing how all across the globe, even outside of Western countries, that women have been oppressed and treated like property well into the twentieth century. I think people often forget that women's rights movements only really started to get going in the 1960's, which is only 60 years ago. We still have a long way to go, especially with cultural attitudes. There is still many aspects in which women are oppressed through pervasive societal ideals and functions. Slut shaming, rape culture, the glass ceiling, icel ideaologies to name a few.
My gosh it would've been so amazing to read this in my old AP World History class back in my sophomore year of high school and write an essay about it compared to the fucking corn one we did. There's so much we could've wrote about this. Asia is often neglected still in world history studies save for the few instances when the Mongols and Silk Road are discusses, or the lotus shoes, the chapter about the Spanish-American war where Spain lost control of the Philippines, or the vague and short stint where the British occupation of India is mentioned. And of course the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki are mentioned along with Japan's involvement in WWII, but that's it. We are very ignorant still about world history as a lot of our learning is still Westernized focuses and mainly about Europe and America's involvement in world history.

Theres always a power imbalance putting the older adult person in a position above the younger one and often manipulates them. This story is a fucking joke and y'all are too who support it. I'm all for legal age gaps that aren't severely huge, but if it's like older than 12 years and the younger party is a minor or even up until 23-24 in the largest age gap instances, it feels highly wrong as that power imbalance is there considering the younger would be relying highly on the older as the older would be completely established in life with most likely a steady career, income, housing, and such.
Listen IDC how much you love the characters or other aspects of the story's premise--you cannot take away the fact that it's all morally wrong because of the goddamn age gap.
