I guess its bc of how detached she is? Idk even if shes in her 20s and understand WHY everyone was upset with her she just put a lot of the blame on the brothers and not the parents. And even when she knew something was wrong she didnt bother doing anything about it. She refuses to see the past and present and its bad.
Even knowing her past i dont feel anything for her. At
All.
If anything i feel bad for the youngest and Eugene, wugene had to carry the entire family despite how young he is (and knowing that the mom accidentally gave Hari drugs and Eugene stepped in makes me wonder how many blunders Eugene took the blame for) and the youngest bc he lost his TWIN and now he has to take in a random girl that LOOKS like his sister and suppose to BE his sister? I cant even begin to understand how terrible that must be for his mentality.
I wont excuse their childish bullying but the fact that Hari never mentions that the bullying continued past childhood makes me wonder if the kids actually stopped bullying her and just...tried moving on. I blame the parents more than the kids; Eugene tried talking it out but he was hushed and the father knew but didnt bother to do anything and the mother was left in her fantasy.
I wont read it past chapter 33 bc im frustrated that Hari is in her 20s but shes so stuck in the past she stopped caring about everything until the brothers accept her as family.
I know a lot of people dont like Jeannette but damn...shes so adorable? I love her so much.
Shes a girl who's been isolated her entire life and basically used by others but she loves them so much? She loves them even tho she KNOWS they dont feel the same way (she admits that she pretends theyre family) and all she wants was a family that love her and that she can love. It makes me sad that Athy knows this but...doesn't do anything about it? She 'befriends' her but its more like Athy is just doing it because she has too (Jeanette points out that it feels like Athy doesnt actually bond with her).
Both OG!Athy and Jeanette were close because they both wanted that family theyve always wanted and its kinda sad that Athy only got it because shes not even Athy and Jeanette doesnt have that sister anymore, Claude isnt there either, and Ezekiel looks at her as a sister but doesnt spend as much time with her anymore.
Tbh in LP she never had those things to begin with. She was close to Athy, but they weren't family since Athy was isolated into the Ruby Palace and never had the chance to meet Claude too. Claude liked her because of her black magic and no because he really felt any kind of affection towards her. Also I think that she doesn't really love them, but the idea of a family she longs for.
I agree that Athy befriended her because she had too. After all she believes the world she is in was built fro Jeannette alone and she feels guilty because she feels like she had stolen her place since she doesn't know that she is her real Athy and that LP ended on a tragic note for everybody.
Tho the fact that she is jealous but still doesn't stop Jeannette from meeting Claude even if she knows that she is the one that has the most to lose in my book means she is helping her.
I don't really like Jeannette since I feel like she is too pushy and doesnt quite read the mood. But I want her to be happy with Anastacious so that everyone can have a family and she can be friends with Athy without being a threat to others and herself too
Athy is the real Athy, she just doesn't know it. So I think she quite deserves to be loved by her father this time around. She lived two miserable lives completely without a family or any kind of love. As for Jeannette, she deserves love too, but she should find it with her real father since she is a threat to Athy and Claude's happiness. Athy likes her, but doesn't see her as a sister and Claude with his memories hates her and without them he literally doesn't mind her. This makes her seem just the third wheel. I think the author should just develop her relationship with Anastacious instead of inserting her in scenes just to stir up drama.
P. S. In Lovely Princess they weren't really close. Athy helped her learn the palace customs, but she was mainly segregated into the concubine palace while Jeannette spent time with Claude and Ijekiel.
I wish I could like your comment. That was beautifully said
