Have you all noticed how Asami used his body as a shield to protect Akihito when Sodou started firing? That gesture killed me. Our man was already all hurt and could barely get on his feet yet he did not hesitate one second to turn his back to the gun shorts and receive them all instead of Aki. That single action is more valuable to me than a million "I LOVE YOU". I am still happy he verbally declared his love thou, haha! ヾ(☆▽☆)

Pirate King, I love your #7 idea about A&A surviving and the next volume focusing on Asami's mysterious background. My plot bunnies are jumping in anticipation. :)
[[[ For some reason I am not allowed to reply to your comment directly, or even reply to my own original comment ( http://www.mangago.zone/home/mangatopic/7434777/), so have to post a new comment. ]]]

Speculating further on your idea:
If Asami's father is still alive and is still a powerful mafia boss somewhere abroad, he could indeed return to avenge his son (and take over) + ensure his son receives best care possible. If his father kept a close eye on Asami all this time and looked after his wellbeing from the shadows, this could sort of explain how Asami survived the fall (i.e. father's goons were close by and immediately shipped A&A to the hospital instead of letting them bleed out).

Whether father would allow Aki to be with Asami, whether he would attempt to pressure Asami to marry+produce an heir, leave Japan and return to his side... could be another batch of drama for several volumes to come. :D

To answer Jade's post below I am posting here because for some reason i cannot reply under other member's posts! Anyways, regarding eventual scenarios here are my thoughts:

It is possible one of them would like to break up in order to protect the other. Two options:

- Akihito will finally understand Asami's point and will choose to distance himself in order to protect Asami and no longer be involved with Mafia stuff. Asami will accept and give him back his freedom. Akihito will move to a whole new city or even a new country! Few years later, he becomes a successful reporter but he could never forget Asami. He was secretly hoping Asami will go back after him but he never did. A dark and dangerous affair will pop up and it will make them meet again and ignite the flame of passion *-*

- Asami, in order to protect Akihito, will make him believe that he died from their accident. Akihito is devastated but has no other choice than moving on. Few years later, Akihito becomes a successful reporter but is still quite bold. He will put himself in serious risky shit and Asami has no other choice than to appear again and save his ass. All this time, he was still keeping a discreet eye on Aki to keep him safe but that new affair it is too serious so he has to step in in person and they will meet again. Akihito is shocked to find out Asami never died. He gets really mad at him since he considers his act as a betrayal. Asami will have to fight again to gain Akihito's trust and affection. All while dealing with another dangerous mafia affair that involves Akihito's new enemies and not Asami this time.

SPOILERS FROM THE GAME DONT READ BELOW IF DONT WANNA BE SPOILED
want to mention that the manga covers like 5% of the story so i highly prompt you to try the game!!

JJ is a plane crash survivor. When a kid with his parents went on a trip but some guerrillas in the jungle shoot the plane everyone died except JJ. JJ was forced to become a child warrior and fight on the battlefield and he was raped every day by the leader. Afterward, everyone died on the battlefield but JJ survived he was rescued and returned back to japan. Master the owner of the bar wanted to adopt him but JJ suffered from amnesia and psychological trauma and understood that the only thing he can do is kill so he becomes an assassin.

Years later jj is a famous assassin called death scythe and one day he is hired by mafia group king ceaser to kill a politician involved with the notorious mafia group Dragon Head. But instead he goes to a wrong room where he finds azusas parents dead and they frame him. Azusa comes to and sees jj and thinks jj killed his parents. JJ is unable to kill him and takes him with him well Azusa says he will go with him bc he wants to kill him blah blah. Now each route is 5 years after the incident.

Azusa (uke) : Azusa all these 5 years believes jj is the killer blah blah lives with JJ where he rapes him and they have a love hate relationship. Azusa one day joins DH and leaves jj so he can become stronger and kill JJ. In good end they end up together realizing how much they love each other bad endings they either kill each other.

Youji (seme) : He and JJ have a love hate relationship too Youji has a dark past (he used to be drugged raped by his gang boss and afterwards a host where he lived with other hosts but one day killed them all bc he found them doing drugs and he still suffers from ptsd bc of his past. Anyway together with JJ youji fell in love with JJ 5 years ago.

Master (seme) : He is the owner of the bar used to be a king ceaser executive with Lucas dad in Italy but his wife and daughter got killed by mafia. He returned to japan became bar owner and he is also an informant and sells guns and he is also an sniper smth like that. He cooperates with king ceaser. (he and youji used to be lovers) In his route he and JJ save Azusa from DH and then they are together.

Kiryuu (uke) : He is executive of king ceaser. He is in love with luca but luca just has sex with him but isnt serious about him and he suffers from one sided love. He is very bastard in the beginning in dead ends kills jj once he joins king ceaser and in the beginning he treats jj like shit bc he is jealous bc luca flirts him and trust him. But later he warms up to jj and falls for him (he is tsundere) and he becomes very cute and adorable rest of route is full of fluff. Not bad the good ending but the fandisk route was epitome of fluff.

Luca (seme) : The boss of king ceaser he is a fuckboi with daddy issues. In his route he flirts and fuck around but he has huge daddy issues bc his mafia dad let his mom die by a group attack and was forced to become mafia boss. He loves his surbodinates in his route he goes to save kiryuu DH abducted him and then becomes serious with JJ and leave for Italy together.

Ugajin (seke) : He is the executive of DH. He killed azusas parents. He is very cold and selfish and drugs and records raping his subordinates. Thats what he did with JJ. In his route he forces jj to join DH by abducting Azusa. He drugs and rapes jj and also records him. He wants jj to kill his boss and deep down he is not a bastard but he is forced to do all these bc Liu his boss abducted his dad 10 years ago and threatened him to follow him otherwise he will kill his dad. Also Liu was ugajins first and all these years he rapes him. JJ then becomes seme and there's also a 3some in that route with Liu ugajin and JJ. anyways they kill Liu save ugajins dad but then kill him bc he was tortured beyond repair blah blah ugajin shows his soft side and JJ becomes his bodyguard. (i liked the fandisk better route)

Liu (seme) : The DH boss real kichiku bastard rapist in his route he is pretty possessive doesn't care about anyone he wants everyone to think he is immortal he is not though or is he?! anyways in his route he rapes jj with a gun and then in front of Azusa and kills everyone that goes against him afterwards he rarely shows some soft side to jj then jj kills him but he doesn't die he goes to jail and then frames jj so they are safe together in jail cell wtf he has really good sense of humor i must say and he isn't that bad..? cant explain much worth to play his route!

Fandisk also has tiger the guerilla leader in jjs past he survived and is a playable character and seme
Fandisk is sequel with jj having amnesia and being in prison and trying to find his lost love and fight some terrorist together? not bad fluffier routes and also has extra story with omerta gakuen

Let's speculate theories on what could happen:

1. If the plotline were semi-real, both A&A would break their spines/necks upon impact with the ground + have numerous internal injuries and die within seconds/minutes from falling from such height. However, this comic has barely anything to do with reality, which means both characters should not die.
*1.1 The only scenario where I could imagine Yamane-san killing off A&A is if she is utterly bored with the storyline and both characters, where she just wishes to move on from Viewfinder and start something new. This would be a perfect 'dignified' way out to end the story quickly. If she is financially secure and is willing to risk a solid income from her 'golden goose' - this could be a logical step to do. The story started with huge dramatics and would end so.
But in the end I'd be surprised if Yamane-san would choose this option in face of global pandemic and economic uncertainty/recession.

2. A&A would miraculously survive with some rehab in the hospital and smexy R&R time to start their happily ever after. <3

3. A&A would miraculously survive, however one of them would either stay in a coma for some time or lose his memories, thus starting another round of drama and hardships requiring to be overcome.

4. A&A would miraculously survive, however they would be separated from the beginning. Akihito, upon waking up days/weeks after would find out that Asami had to be shipped to another hospital or even overseas to treat consequences from his 3 gun shots + fall. Another round of drama would start with Aki trying to find Asami, while dodging police and Asami's rivals.

5. A&A would miraculously survive, however: upon waking up days/weeks after Akihito is explained that Asami didn't survive his injuries. Aki goes through grief stages for months until one day a healed Asami contacts him. For example, turns out Asami was an undercover cop all along and was just playing the role of the underworld king to bring the bad guys and corrupted politicians to justice. Asami offers Aki to join him and live their happily after in another country (witness protection) where nobody would recognize Asami.

...other speculations? :)

I'mma seriously going to Japan and murdering Ayano Yamane if she kills Asami as she thought it would give thrill to us... No it is not thrilling...it will be depressing for us and mostly for long time fans like me(7 yrs) I have waited a long time for them to say "I love you" and I will not let an old mangala ruin everything... I am warning you Ayano Yamane don't try anything stupid (you are my favorite mangaka but if you betray us by killing them then we will never forgive you)... Keep them alive and make them happy... They are now certain about their feelings don't mess it up... We are believing in you

Sensei declared clearly in a fan meeting which held on 15th Feb of this year in Japan, that the Finder Series will never be a tragedy, none of any main characters will die, Asami, Akihito, Fei, Mikhail, none of them. Sensei even ask suggestions about their future life from readers. If you've followed Sensei's twitter you will find the Japanese readers they don't worries too much coz they know, this is just a climax plot of the story.
Now you just have to worry that there won't be any episode of amnesia in the next, to be honest, that's kinda cliche. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

I just wanted to say (this is more so for the reviews on the anime but are still relevent to the manga) this is NOT BL therefore you can't EXPECT ROMANCE between Richard and Seigi. While I do agree there are some really strong moments that I don't blame you for thinking they are in a relationship/like each other romantically, however the word they used for like towards each other was 好き (at least in the anime; I haven't read the novels so I cannot say for that. If they did use words that explicitly indicate romantic feelings in the novel then I would gladly take back my words) which does mean like/love, but it's a very general word for like/love. You would use 好き when saying you like your friends, parents, favorite food, favorite book, etc. and yes you can use it to confess to someone, but when interpreting the words you have to also take the other possible connotations it carries as well. When Richard and Seigi said they like (好き) each other, they may have meant it in a romantic sense but they may have just meant as a human being they like each other the same way you can really like your friends but not necessarily have a crush on them. Had they used 愛してる that would be different, because that has a deep romantic connotation tied to that like/love that is non-negotiable (恋をした/する would also represent romantic like/love but it's more of a "first love" kind of fluffy, innocent feeling that would not make much sense in the case of this story. If we were to give an example of a relationship that fits this it would be Seigi's feelings for Tanimoto)

Here's a good example of two boys who really really care about each other but do not have romantic feelings for each other. I believe Richard and Seigi also have a relationship which is similar.
http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/nanohana_boys/
Maybe because a lot of people who go read this manga or watch the anime have been exposed to a lot of BL and so when they see two guys (I'm hoping just in fiction and not onto real people because that's disrespectful) being rather friendly with each other they just think "oh they might be gay" (or something along the lines of that), however it's not right to insist that is the intention of the authors and producers when creating this story. Just like how a girl and boy can be friends without having a crush on each other, there's no excuse why that can't be so between a guy and another guy (or a girl and a girl). So the people complaining "why is this not BL" or "Why didn't they show their relationship more explicitly", first of all this story is categorized in the BL or shounen ai genre and secondly you're assuming that their relationship is more than what is shown. It's fine to hope or to speculate relationships deeper than what they are presented but you can't make an assumption and say it as a fact.

If you interpreted the story as Richard and Seigi having romantic feelings for each other, that's fine. If you interpret them as being soul mates (note that soul mates don't have to be lovers) that is also fine to. There is no one true answer and it's normal to have multiple interpretations of a story, but let's all be understanding of the fact either interpretation is equally acceptable

You're all going to hate me But I don't understand how a manga with so much potential managed to fall flat to such proportions in the end.. The first pages seem to want to introduce the reader to a whole alternate universe w it's own rich history and morals, and the art is very detailed and puts a big emphasis on beautiful french/European scenery backgrounds that the artist must have researched and studied which is unusual in bl manga and that's amazing!!! But then the historical timeline gets all over the place and the story starts pulling these weird plot twists without any build up and nothing makes any sense anymore lol the fashion, architecture and time period really don't match I'm sorry... no one in the '80s used to dress like that girl. She even got an umbrella like.. I understand the whole "french bourgeoisie" vibe but c'mon now even them don't go that far. Also arranged marriages? Really?? This all feels a bit too first half 20th century and i know the alternate universe trope can technically explain anything but it just feels way too much with the whole '80s retrofuturistic clone technology element. I don't necessarily think both are incompatible in general but the way it was brought in this manga specifically.... Nah + the story is just uninterestingly cliché and the characters completely half-assed :/ They aren't even the kind you can read in between the lines and find something interesting to latch on to just,, they're melodramatic as hell and at the same time as bland as cardboard. There's no love shown, no chemistry between the two main characters, no substance in their relationchips or in how their world is presented, the whole "clone rights" plot is nonsensical and contradictory and in the end there's no real consistent morale, they've got no personality, nothing. The whole story feels so superficial and empty? Like a pretty display case of random aesthetics put together with no real filling/feeling and I KNOW this is bl manga, a genre with countless mediocre stories that ppl usually don't mind so I must look crazy ranting so much abt it... But with a rating like that, such cool initial concept + first few pages, nothing but praise in the topics and so many people calling it a masterpiece??? I'm actually super surprised bc it was such a huge let down there is no way it can be ignored and there is now way I'm the only one thinking this. It just feels like an umpteenth retelling of the infamous early 2010's tragedy yaoi trope but without the rape, that's good at least lol.. Anyway yeah the art is good and that one plot twist was okay but everything else is so bad they just stick out like a sore thumb.

if people complaining about "consent" here have been in an actual, long-term relationship. Because you don't ask for permission every time with a long-term partner - you understand each other's signals. And it's perfectly fine to try and change your partner's mind if they aren't "in the mood." Senpai is very focused and ignores his body, so he doesn't think about sex that much. But not thinking about it doesn't mean he doesn't want it when he's reminded.

Now, KB is highly exaggerated and bonkers - if you haven't figured that out, then I can't help you. Go watch some Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner cartoons because that's about the level of realism when it comes to Senpai punching Morinaga. But Senpai and Morinaga have worked out each other's signals and meanings by this point. When Senpai really doesn't want it, he lets Morinaga know and Morinaga stops. Morinaga didn't even try in the last chapter, leaving Senpai to work on his thesis.

Senpai complains and says stuff like "stop" and "no" because he's embarrassed by his body's reactions and can't get himself to say out loud what he wants. Morinaga gets that and Senpai has even told him in the past that when he really means "no" he will make it clear. Is it weird and super-tsundere? Yes, of course - for us. For them, it isn't. Hell, Senpai just got on top of Morinaga and rode him in the last volume - saying, "I can't," and, "stop," and everything else through the whole thing. There was no force being used on him. Morinaga persuading and coaxing and begging and guiding is not force. We've seen many times that Senpai can and will refuse when he chooses to.

Hell, Senpai was having all sorts of sex dreams just from Morinaga's scent and thinking of him while masturbating and moaned when he heard Morinaga's voice on the phone. He ran to Hamamatsu when he worried about Morinaga. He's trying to put Morinaga off right now because he thinks Morinaga should rest on his day off.

You don't like their relationship? That's perfectly fine. Stop reading. You should have stopped many volumes ago. This manga is about two grown-ass men with personality issues who have chosen to be together. They chose - they keep choosing - to stay together. Would this work between two real people? No.

Here's the real question - does Senpai consider what they do together "rape"? It's clear he does not think of it that way. You can't force him to feel victimized and traumatized. In the end, it's the person's interpretation of events that matters, not yours. You shouldn't force your morals or beliefs or standards onto other people - fictional or otherwise. At the most, you offer to listen or help if someone (adult) asks for it. Senpai and Morinaga don't need your intervention - they really don't.

I honestly didn’t mind the ending. This was very realistic compared to most. Sadly there was no happy ending second. They were all fucked up. Being as it is. Some of the lies or were they’re lies. Something was not told right. I was confuse but understood the part where he went to see if the miki “sister” was okay. But the way everything looked as if miki was messing around with the girl. And from what I understand about the Ryouma i think his name was. Wanted to make rhe seme sorry don’t remember his name forget all about him. So when he said he failed. He was talking about that. And i love this from the beginning the art was very good. I like the characters to a minimum. But with in the plot of twist and the wording it was amazing. I always love reading twist plot novels and watched movies like it. And this could definitely be one. If made exactly like the book. Thank you author and uploader. Goodness i wish there was a what if story. To give more about miki. Cause miki had a different twist in it self and the seme was just explored throughout the whole story. Even the kid. What I couldn’t relate to or understand was miki. Like what was his real name or did i miss that? Were he telling lies. How did he actually feel for the seme. But i think looking back. He loved his sister more than as siblings. This author gives me the darkside to its story. Or a wake to reality. Yeah this was one of my favorites so far.

1. It's a mistranslation that should mean "concubine" or "mistress" (I don't know, I'm not fluent in Korean, so this is just a guess of mine).

2. Seungho has decided he will marry Na-kyum, so he makes him crossdress and announces "she" is a noble lady from far away. This way, his orgy buddies can't exactly object. Actually, even his dad and brother can't object, and he can legally get married to Na-Kyum.

3. The "fiancee" is a rumour, it's Na-kyum under the blanket. There's no actual "fiancee". It's just to get his ex fuckbuddies to stop snooping around and plotting because that's just annoying as hell.

4. He's not disguising that Na-Kyum is male, he's just outright announced "I'm marrying this man, because I want to". It's his biggest "fuck you" to the society he's in. A double "fuck you" to learned sir who said Na-Kyum is only ever a prostitute. Seungho marrying him legally makes him a noble, so the exact opposite of a prostitute.

5. Crack theory: it's the assassin under the blanket. Seungho is on a mission to fuck 'em all, as long as they are hot.

Yeah. Keep the theory train going?

Wow this was amazing!
It has its flaws as the author recognice, but still is really well writen.
From the star i was expecting miki to die (well the tragedy tag give us the hint) and i love the idea (not bc i hated miki, in fact i love his character, but bc i love the drama if not why would i be reading this? lol) but at the very end i was wishing for his survival, i really do. guess i was ok with both hipotesis.
The final chapter was simply mindblowing, in a magnificent way.
I want to say that english is not my frist language and it became to long to correct in google translaor so excuse my mistakes i just wanted to coment all this bc i love it.

If we analaize the whole manga, is tatsumi-san who tell the story and that's why we read it based on his opinion and thougs, but at the same time we have his conversations with miki where we got as caugh in the trap as the protagonist (the seme)
From the very begining tatsumi express that he doesn't believe miki' stories, or he half believe them. When he found miki with his supposed sister, the first think he taugh was that they were holding hands, and that he was going out with her. (until this time he and we didn't knew that everything he tought was the real truth) When he tied miki and ask him about her and if he was in love with her and if that was the reason why the yakuza beat him up (again he was unconsiusly telling the truth), miki didn't say anything and made a sad face (we can assume he's thinking that he's just the lover with whom she cheat her husband and nothing else for her despite he loving her)
Tatsumi think that whatever that woman is, miki still cares for her, and that they have a deeper relationship than the one he has with him.

After that miki invent the whole story about their past which he himself calls a poor tv drama. (maybe he got the ideas for his lies from some)
The first time i read the penultime chapter i though when miki stop walking in that store to see a couple, that he wanted something like that (since they were talking how homo they look to go there i though he wants a romance like that) but after reading it calmly i notice that that wasn't the reason why he saw them with a sad face, but because they were similar to the woman and the yakuza, and that's why he feels bad seeing them all lovely dovely, when he was again just the lover with whom she cheat her husband.
In the same chapter tatsumi remember the last night and his conversation with miki, when he ask "why do your sister married a guy like him" again we see miki's sad face and didn't say anything.
Later miki vent out saying angrily this "maybe she could have gotten away if she had everything she had into trying" assuming he loves her, we can say he propse her to run away with his cheater and abusive husband but she didn't want it at all bc for her " his heart is in the right place" and that's why he think she's a stupid woman for continuing with that relationship.
But then tatsumi kiss him and his horizon expand, thinking that maybe he should give up on her and run away with tatsumi.
Finally the last chapter clears everything the first hint we had that the miki that appear outside jail is not the real one is his clothes and his nails, he looks exactly the same as the day he was stabbed three years before. lol xD
Then we have miki's sister and her son, not only he looks exactly like miki, but tatsumi also made us notice that this baby was seed at the right moment, born ten months after miki's death, so we can say that the night miki was waiting outside of his appartament was when he got her pregnant, her husband found out that they were together and torn off miki's nails. And also when tatsumi refers to her as miki's sister, she didnt say anything and looks exaclty like miki when tatsumi asked about her. Hence, she knew that that was the lie he tell to tatsumi. Lastly the millon ask, "who is the father?", ofc miki didn't knew she got pregnant (asuming she got it that night) and since he was a product of his imaginantion that miki would knew the same things as tatsumi. then he remember miki's final words that everything he say were lies, his past, his relationship with that woman and maybe, his desire to run away with tatsumi too. :(
so did he ask him to kill that man to run away with the woman? we never know...

what can i say about ryoma? is just as fake miki said, he had his life messed up because of tatsumi. (poor guy honestly) and after that he just want to use him again to kill the yakuza?
now, has tatsumi the right to kill him? i mean his wife was cheating on him so the yakuza has the right to beat miki, but also he cheat and abused his wife so he deserved to be in prison. ryoma went psycho just a moment and got to prision, but isn't tatsumi as insane as all of them? i mean he's planning and waiting for a murder, and he's deluding himself with a dead person. xD
What can i say this was fantastic. the only bad thing is that last chapter supposed to be comic that didn't fit here at all. (the author's words not mine but i totally agree)
