Why is she so dense? I understand there has to be some conflict to make the story more interesting, but with the amount of hints that are being dropped and fl not picking any of them up. It’s getting on my nerves.（/TДT)/

I don't think she is dense, she is more in denial if anything. She 'knows' he will fall in love with someone else according to the story, so why go for a broken heart? Better then to protect herself by seeing him as a brother.
