are ear piercings a sign of being bad or something in japan? i like them and have a few ... never thought about it that way! (⊙…⊙ ) but the story was cute
It's not particularly seen as a bad thing, but you know a bunch of ear piercings (as opposed to just two normal piercing on each ear) are quite flashy and it's not something a lot of girls would do. Here, in the manga, those ear piercings are just used to represent her changes or her "fake" self. That's why she took it off at the end and faced her true her feelings.
Mhmm, I hv a few ear piercings. It can sometimes give off a bad-ass kinda vibe, but it REALLY depends on your personality. I think it was meant to give off a sort of grownup/independent kinda vibe. As well as trying to be a different person.
it wasn't that it was bad but that they were flashy which is the opposite of her character that's why they were a symbol of her trying to be someone she isn't
