Why do I get the feels of experimental subjects. Only one of whom escaped. Long white hair said there were 2 kids that died. I'm guessing the ML's power kept him alive and he escaped in the aftermath. The question is is the darkness the ghost/possession from the other child that died or psych split personality created from the trauma?

I don't think so, It's still ongoing status and also sometimes you have 'end' at the last page of a chapter so it doesn't always indicate the end of the whole story
