tbh in a LOT of historical manga the dresses are very plain or straight up ugly because it's a lot of work to draw them. i reaaaaaally appreciate the artist working on the dresses because wow.... i took a good 5 minutes staring at the empress' dress. it was so. stunning. and the mc's dress too, it really took my attention away. idk how they do it but i am really thankful it's beautiful
