I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!!!!! This has become one of my favorite, maybe favorite, isekai comics. The art and plot are amazing, but what really stood out to me was the characters, to props to the novel writer for that.
First off, the characters aren't cliche at all. Its in that same kind of theme, with a person being reincarnated into a side character and favoring the villainess, but there is so much more to it. Usually with this kind of theme the initial female lead and main character goes from being an angelic character portrayed in the novel to some shitty 'villainess' type personality. It may seem that way at first with Lilith, but as the story goes on you can see there are something strange about her and her split personalities.
I also love how there isn't any like 'romantic' kind of love that is really introduced yet. I've read up to ch 35, and yes Arth might have feelings and does that 'thing' (don't wanna spoil) but he does it because he is worried about and cares deeply for Sasha. A lot of comics focusing on romance's plots tend to move really fast and skip to romantic relationships, but this comic focuses on those platonic, deeper relationships first. Like Arth talks about how he wants Sasha to trust in him like how he and Rebecca have in Sasha.
But like what really stood out to me was how the MC's (Sasha's) personality and character development was like. At first, it seems like she is the normal cliche reincarnated character, trying to survive through all means possible. She sucks up to people, throwing away pride and becomes the noble's 'pet'. It's talked about a little later kind of why she throws away her dignity so easily and ignores what other people say about her. She puts on this mask of being this really cute, trustworthy girl whom you can talk to. This is how she rose in status, was by letting nobles talk to her as a pet and basically become their like therapist.
However, there are these key moments Sasha breaks from this mask, like through her intense nail biting habit and overthinking. Arth even describes Sasha's unstable emotional side of her, saying he wish he could do more. Sasha does a lot for other people, as she listens to them and lets them vent. She helped Nisaka become interested in humans and helped him try to understand human's morals even though he is not human. She helped Arth discover his own opinions and emotions and helped Rebecca stand up for herself against her forced marriage with the prince. Sasha herself never actually asks anyone for help, making Rebecca and Arth worry about her and try to help her (as well as try to let Sasha trust them more). Even Nisaka was about to help in his own way when Sasha especially 'broke' from her parent's forced marriage.
