—————————————————————in short: Dane is ML and his backstory is really sad and painful — current fiancé is actually innocent and really sweet — Rona was indeed a witch, and I’m pretty sure she was the one providing love potions for Angela, more on that later———————————————————so the ML of this is the first prince, who is obviously Dane, the boy she met at the pond. He fell in love at first sight with Jayna. Also, his backstory is really sad, you could even say it was more sad than Jayna’s. He literally gets screwed over by EVERYONE in his life, his own father, nanny, and best friend. But the explanation is quite long, so to sum it up, he is sick because he is getting poisoned by his nanny and if I recall, his father, the king, knows about it and doesn’t do anything about it. Later on in the story, he gets cured of this poison or illness by that white rabbit that was shown earlier if you remember. It is actually some holy creature or something.———————————————————-Another surprising thing I feel like people should know if they want spoilers, is that the current fiancé, is actually SO SWEET. In the previous timeline where he “fell in love” with Angela, it was only because Angela somehow fed him a love potion. The truth was, Cassiel LOVED Jayna. He wanted to marry her and liked her since he was young, he practiced a certain sword style because Jayna liked it, even though it was actually inconvenient, and once, Jayna mentioned that she like the colour blue or something, and he showed up at like some event (?don’t remember what event or if he was just visiting) wearing all blue just so she can be happy. In fact, Cassiel, Dane, and even the second prince didn’t care about Angela. The second prince liked thicc women (which Angela is not) but he was also fed the love potion, and Cassiel didn’t care because he was genuinely in love with Jayna. ———————————-However, in this timeline, Jayna doesn’t end up with Cassiel because she can’t get over the trauma of the past life. Even after the engagement is broken in the new timeline, Cassiel still loves her and and swears royalty as her knight and to protect her from the shadows. In one instance, Jayna was being attacked or something, and some mysterious guy saved her (it was Cassiel). He really only gives up or realizes he doesn’t have a chance anymore after Jayna marries Dane. He is sad, but he moves on (there’s no indication he’s with another girl, he just becomes more devoted to being a knight). —————-in the end, Angela dies by execution, and even then, she still a bitch. Also her backstory is mostly where her mom was abused by her dad, to the point of death, and Angela eventually gets abused too. Angela has always seen her mom get beat up in this pink dress, hence her dislike towards pink. Also Angela and her mom was responsible for the death of Jaynas mom. I’m too lazy to get into that thing. Also some other details. ———there’s three queens j think? First one is dead, second one is being ignored by king (also the mother of first prince I think? Don’t remember, and the third queen, who the king is madly in love with. It’s because of the third queen that Dane is getting poisoned (fed to him by his nanny), and because the king loves the third queen so much, he overlooks and neglects Dane being poisoned. Ok it’s fucking 7 am and I need to sleep how. Hope this spoiler is enough.
