
the power scaling sometimes confuses me because the mc would be OP in one fight but be considerably weaker in another, but i think i got it now. it's like a weapon triangle/rock paper scissors:
- mc is strong against the cult since his attack can penetrate mana and their weird magic,, but he's much weaker than the sword saints and other recognized experts/masters because of pure skill and strength.
- the cult members are strong(er) against anyone other than mc because of their blessing, which only mc could cut (not even sword saint could) - except if they're highly skilled even in non-magic combat
- the recognized strong people who never appeared in the war of the previous timeline can dominate the mc with sheer strength alone, but were either colluding with the cult or have been eliminated by them.
