I WAS LITERALLY THINKING THAT. I can’t remember what chapter it was, perhaps the first one her sister is reintroduced in her 1001 and it’s so obvious somethings wrong with her. Also? She was happy you died, a pinnacle in your last moments, and that doesn’t make you suspicious? You’ve lived 1000 times, and you can’t figure out people’s agendas or discern behavior, yet you know to use your peanut brain to introduce gypsum to fucking dirt??? YOU’VE LIVED 1000 TIMES, and you never thought, Owen’s death was weird or I’m the common denominator in all my fiancés deaths, they want me dead, UNTIL SUDDENLY OIL ON THE FLOOR IS SUS BC HE DOESN’T COOK? Bitch so dumb she should stop breathing and live another 1000 more lives. Maybe she’ll be smarter then.
To be fair,she only regains her memories at 17 and lives for three years before dying again. She truly seems to love her sister and believes she can change their relationship if her sister truly was apart of her downfall. The oil makes sense. It was stated the fire was an accident, which included the oil (likely that Owen brought it). Owen saying there wouldn't be any oil because the cabin only has a small cauldron for boiling stuff clues her in to the discrepancy. To be fair, she knows she's the common denominator but not why. She sees herself as an average lady and just declaring people must want her dead would have made her look crazy and paranoid. Owen was seen as a genuine accidental death and Julius was during a witch trial. We don't even know how the other two guys died yet.
Which is all to say, I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt. She's truly trying to figure stuff out and it's very easy to not notice your sister is sus when you're blinded by Familial Love. Is she a bit dumb? Yeah, but she's perpetually trapped as a teenager so I'll wait to see how this goes.
