Honestly? It’s a complicated issue. On one hand, yes, rehabilitation is important for the greater good, but on the other I genuinely believe there are crimes that should never be forgiven. Some people just need to be isolated from the rest of society, and harsh punishments (if actually installed correctly) can help stop possible perpetrators out of fear for punishment. That’s why far less people commit crimes than how many actually would want to. The biggest assistance to crime is light punishments or complete lack of them. It shows perpetrators that no matter what they do, they will be fine. That lawyer is also beyond naive. I changed, so they will too? This isn’t fairyland. Saying he’s out of touch with reality is correct. Maybe it’s because he was the bully himself that he focuses only on perpetuators, but it’s so clear he does not care about the victims and has absolutely zero idea of what it’s like to them. Societal well-being is important, but victims are a part of that. They should always be a priority in this kind of situations.
Finally. It’s 90 chapters, but she still misses her own life. That’s far more realistic than most of those stories. I get when FL’s have had abusive lives why they don’t mourn it, but a lot of them had good lives and still acted like it was all good to loose them. I wish there were also more stories where FLs went back to their world. I know there are some, but not many
Ho has such natural charisma. How does the author write that so well? Its genuinely rare
I think the only way father could be redeemed for me in any way would be if he genuinely never knew about Haeboms existence and that’s why he wasn’t present. If he knew, but didn’t want a child or anything else, sorry I’m not one to forgive parents like that. I also don’t like how Ho started interacting with him, I get that Ho is way too nice for his own good, but I feel like he should be on Haeboms side here and don’t interact with someone who hurt him and he is so clearly conflicted about. Is it because Ho never had a family, that he is gonna support them making up (cause family is family?)? I kinda hope not
Came for revenge, ended up with some absurd therapy and forgiveness session. What was I waiting for this long??? Bullshit.
Ngl, that was anticlimactic for me. Mari did not deserve this much kindness either from FL or the OG brother. I wanted revenge and groveling, I really hate forgiveness tropes of not only this horrible of people, but also with such absurd reasons for how far they went. Why do they always gotta make FL all nice and forgiving? I dire you Aisha, but I wish you were pettier.
That bastard definitely deserves to die, and I don’t blame Lydia at all for what she did to him (just to be clear, not saying Lydia is faultless, she was horrible. I read this for Lyrica, I don’t really like redeeming people like her mom). Lyrica is so lovable, she can’t help how she feels, but I really hope she forgets him fast
Tbh, I hate when villains have such stupid reasoning for their actions. Marianne is just straight up delusional brat with a victim complex. I hoped for a bit more with her character tbh, also targeting Aisha of all people seems like the least reasonable choice she could’ve made.
I didn’t know Theo was genuinely friends with the Crown Prince, I thought he was just supposed to entertain him, or was that someone else? Either way, I hope it comes out how Franz is being treated. Theo’s got bad taste in people.
Angst was really strong in this one. I liked how ruthless they were, but I also think like the worst villains (like Terzo and Duchess) got off way too easily. Either way, I love a good angst and tragedy so I enjoyed it
