i would be very inclined to support sasya's new found freedom and career had he not gotten to where he is now by whoring himself out to old geezers
cause are you really free if the success of your life and career majorly depend on how well you can suck an old guy off????
sasya initially abandoned his dreams because he refused to sleep with that duke to progress his career and yet he's doing the very same thing now... if he was gonna resign himself to this kind of way of life, he could have done so from the get go. at least then instead of having to screw 50 other guys he could have fucked the living hell out of that duke, get the bag and spare himself all this bs <:
anyways this is unrelated to the karel vs sasya world war IV going on in the comments
i'm saying it cause i dislike the direction the author took with sasya's character development
at the end its like all the other BL's, poor guy needing to whore himself out to get somewhere in life and then needing to be saved at the end of course ._.
i genuinely wanted to see sasya taking control of his own life after leaving karel, and proving to everyone that he can become someone with his own strength but it is what it is we move
while that is correct and i do somewhat agree with you, i still think that sasya's current character is a fumbled opportunity from the author side
if we take sasya's and karel's characters as parallels, after karel got imprisoned they were both at their lowest. yet somehow karel could make a grandiose comeback, from a prisoner and a "murderer" to a revered general who somehow managed to defeat a whole ass army unit on his own. however, sasya despite being "famous" and chasing his dream he very much stayed the same, dependent on others and fickle, allowing himself to be used by the people around him...
personally i would have loved general "skar" to meet an accomplished and stronger version of sasya, sasya who would be standing on his own two feet, that would make up a better story arc imo.
my dissatisfaction mainly comes from this scenario being overused and worn out in BL. it's almost always the typical rich, well connected, powerful, accomplished "top" and the poor, weak, needing to be saved "bottom"
when i started reading this story i really expected a different turn of events hence my disappointment
still this is a pretty ok and interesting story overall, and probably much better in comparison to 80% of the stuff on this site in terms of plot
but it definitely had the potential to bypass the typical BL mold, unfortunately it did not
I'm what is happening to sasya is pretty common today. People "sponsor" others or just straight take advantage of adults/minors in the entertainment industry. Sasya is not only a part of the entertainment industry... he's a dancer and people are sick. Just look up what goes on in Hollywood and the music industry. Also, he's not just "allowing himself to be used" he's surviving while getting to do something he used to love. It's sad. And maybe trauma is overused but most people like reading about characters with traumatic pasts or about characters with the "save me" vibe. It's not just bl. It's in every romance genre. Actually it seems like most spicy romance stories have a main character that grew up abused or was SA'd. Also I think you're in the wring genre if you're looking for a great story with amazing plot. Most yaoi stories are just straight up porn. Just like Yuri and hentai and Josei (I forgot how to spell it). Most of these stories are meant to be shallow with little substance. >_< (Minus a few webtoons and bls that are ttagged tagged yaoi). Anyways, you should probably try more bls (maybe bl novels or just books with a gay mc) not tagged yaoi if you want a more outgoing don't mess-with-me MC. Though that might be difficult bc most romance ganres are obsessed with savior type stories. It's kind of the trend and has bee for the past few years. Sorry you haven't been able to find many stories with a string mc. :( Yaoi just isn't the best for that. I've been reading it since I was in middle school and the mcs are usually sad/shy/pushover etc...
Also sorry if this is jumbled I just worked a 12 hour shift and my ADHD isn't helping lol
Wow you’re definitely right. The story would have definitely be even more relatable if Saysa leveled up too, of all the things he went through he deserved that much. I hate this poor hopeless ukes always depends on seme, it’s so over used and they need to hang it up!
lol sometimes I even think that these authors are being mentored by the same person
the mental gymnastics these authors go through just to force a sexual setting between the MC and ML should be studied... like not even the most prominent exhibitionist would go as far as to anally masturbate in a high school classroom in mfing broad daylight
what is this author smoking like be fr rn
feel super bad for Yachiyo... touji rejects him for being a man but ends up dating a man later on in life ._.
and how tf will the author make this work out since one of them is married to a woman and the other one has a boyfriend .-. also feeling bad for their partners cause neither one of them is in love with their respective partner *sigh*
I'm sorry, I think I missed it,where did it say touji was dating a man now?
Hi, it is not shown in this chapter as this is the "background story" chapter. In the next chapter we see Touji dating a man named Kyoto. The story takes places a few years after Yachiyo's wedding when they meet again at a funeral.
I don't know until what extent they end up hurting their partners and themselves because I can't understand the dialogue in the raws
Please, some link to this RAW??
Please mark it as a spoiler.
How many chapters is this currently available or is this story was already completed?? When I saw in the anilist the status for this manga is Hiatus :((
