sooo... nothing is real. the scientists were doing their whole vr play for... something? and he just pulled a whole earth out of his ass. alright, then.
the whole house thing is weird. they're like, oh no, we have no architects. the art of making buildings has been lost. so when they visit the neighbouring country they're so amazed by people having nice buildings. and, yeah, maybe nobody would have tried building anything while the crazx tyrant was on the throne. but obviously he's been dead for a while now.
........and not once in 100 years did someone say, hey, maybe we can make an offer for a builder to immigrate here? maybe we should have some of our people apprentice away for a while? maybe we should look at one of the sturdier houses and attempt to replicate it?
the last one i read that had a title about 'being a sister of whoever' ended up with the brother being the ml and i'm so glad that didn't happen here. no incest here. safe to read.
okay, after getting past the initially bad (they get better) translations, i quite liked it. 1. it was interesting that there were two regressors. the time regression wasn't explained but i'm choosing to believe it was because they were twins and had basically the same overlapping wish at the moment of their death. or at least the later translations call them twins. magical twin stuff. 2. everybody had good character motivations. 3. i especially like how bitter our main character was. how she got worn down with it. she was relatable. i've read too many stories where the main character is just, i dunno how to say, like endlessly peppy or something, a go-getter, i-give-zero-shits-so-now-it's-my-way-or-the-highway type of person. which is fine for that but it's not relatable like patrizia was for me here.
I really liked how it switched POV's for a moment in the middle to see what it looked like from his side.
this is, well, not bad i guess, but it very much feels like she moves through the storyline doing not much at all. like, taking a walk and a guy shows up to add to the plot and then she moves along and the next guy shows up for the storyline. she's just kind of there and people are bickering about her in the background.
I think this is the only transmigration work I've read where the original soul doesn't either just assimilate or disappear and i love it. Both of them are really living their best lives.
she's really raising the bar for actresses everywhere. not on the acting but must also be a horseback rider, an archery master, animal tamer, good at sleight of hand, etc.
changed my mind a few times on this. she irritated the heck out of me in the beginning with her single-track mind and then i started enjoying it as they got closer and then all of a sudden the translations and i did the side squint on that until i could enjoy it again but now with more angst and then everything devolved and turned into handwaviness and it's all bullshit.(╯°へ°)╯╧╧
i don't know how to say but this felt very wooden? might also be partially to do with the translations but all in all - art, story progression, it somehow just felt stiff.
not my girl just writing fanfic about herself and the king lol
his main reason for wanting to return was for his parents so at least i would have wanted to see him with them at the end but wow did that just... it's like it's missing a whole chapter at the very least
it's too bad this hasn't been completed. it ticks my bromance fantasy box and i love it.
kinda meh, but that ability really interests me. she talked about how kissing on the hand gives a shorter duration of sleep than the head and i'm assuming it's because it's further away from the brain. so who experimented with that? why are the lips okay? how long would someone stay asleep if you kissed them way down on their feet?
no, that redemption for the king is bullshit. he just finds out that, cool, he's got magic too and everything is now okay?? talk about sweeping it under the rug. the unjust imprisonment, trying to get arthur killed before that, the threats concerning his sister's medical care. and all because he was jealous.
Okay, so I know that the author wrote 'reasons' into it and all and this manhwa wasn't bad but it really irks me how her problems started to be solved with one really good wax job. right at the beginning, the author just decided she didn't actually want an ugly protagonist. like, oh. curse? what's that? ☆☆ makeover~☆☆
hmph.
yooo, she really did that. that lady living the life, damn.
been cycling through time travel stories and this is my second time reading this. still mad. still freaking mad. even before she finds anything out about the poison and she's already falling in love with the prince again. like, just why?? god even told her that her past feelings for him were just a manipulation of fate. so now she goes back but pioneer what? she still went back to him.
yeah, i should have read the comments. how dare it be stopped there. that's only halfway through the story. not fair.
