I'm still confused on the timeline lolol
Bertha = MC's mom? So she is half siblings with the current emperor and the Duke (lady Brody's dad) ((she's brodys half aunt??)).
ML's **grandpa** was friends with the emperor/MC's dad??
Yaaas! I guess the emperor took time in choosing his empress. Orrr when he ascended the throne, he needed support from other families so that’s why he had concubines - and sons. Then maybe after 10-20 yrs he met Empress Bertha and fell in love. But bcos she so pretty, his damned son also had interest in her and wanted to take her for himself so they plotted against their dad. Little shits
Idr did his brother die or where is he
The brother is the classical pampered brat with an inferiority complex. He is part of a debauched nobles club where he assaults another noble who end up dying. The dead scoundrel is the only heir for a countdom and his father is out for revenge so as to assaulted that count, the brother is hastily sent out of the country while the duchess promises the count to pay hefty remuneration which is why they are practically selling off our teddy bear to Stella……
Imma be fr
Idgaf about the baby plot point. what I am THRILLED about is euihyun calmly setting out his thoughts and grievances here. WHAT A REFRESHING AND HEALTHY WAY TO PUSH FORWARD THE PLOT. It's not the baby convincing the two they love each other/keeping them together until they do become healthy like other stories. Its not the almost death via saving the other to convince them they love each other like other stories. This author writes some good shit
I was in denial that he was preg for as long as possible bc i think its lame that its out of rape and not when theyre in a healthy place especially when euihyun clearly did not want a baby. I'm legit glad that the author is taking so long to address it. I think thats so smart. Because otherwise it wouldve just been "angst porn" where we just continue to see euihyun stress and suffer and nothing actually gets resolved.
I think the ml would be more likeable if we saw more personality and action from his pov
Like he was v sad about her cutting her hair because he was worried about her place in society (the little comment from mc "oh yeah a woman's hair is her pride here" or whatever). He might just be viewing this as someone from the era a la that she wouldn't have anyone else in mind to marry and its better to be a married woman than not. He didn't know she had plans to move. While not wholly likeable, I think he's more realistic to the setting
Tbh I understand why aria is so dismissive of pi. I don't think she views really anyone in this story fully wholly aa people, including pi. Pi is someone that knows everything alongside her but is also someone that she can't live life with or talk about. Pi and the phantom library are one and the same in many aspects to her probably.
I'm sure it's a weird uncanny valley of connection she has with pi.
Like still not great. Still sucks for pi.
I feel like what's going to happen is that maybe pi either turns on aria/does something dangerous behind her back to become real. The phantom library disappears (maybe pi dies, maybe he doesn't, maybe he's reincarnated in the world) and aria now has to fr live in the world and like *be a part* of it instead of seeing everyone as separate
Wow I feel like the manhwa made Cesar a lot more sympathizable than the novel. Like Cesar was real brutal to ruby and it really showed his "love" was an obsession
