basically after all the fighting with monsters and stuff, jinwoo (shadow monarch) meets the “rulers” who give him a cup of reincarnation to turn back time 10 years into the past. he then goes back has a battle between other monarchs (who were responsible for the gates and stuff) and kills them all. since time is rewinded to the time before gates started appearing, everyone else loses their memories except jinwoo and a select few others. he has the power to give ppl their memories from before the time rewind, but he doesnt give anyone them, in order to keep the peace. ~ theres more details but its gonna be a long comment so ill stop (づ￣ ³￣)づ
