i just started and i genuinely don't see how people root for the prince. he was horrible in the past, and he just can't be redeemed at this point so i hope allen ends up being the male lead because otherwise i'll probably be uncomfortable the whole time.
seriously- even if the prince sobs and do all that weird shit, i'd probably still be uncomfortable and annoyed everytime he were mentioned and i'm around chapter 10 or something. i'm just picking up vibes from him that i don't like so far.
also WOAH tia's great, but i hope she learns to defend herself more especially around the prince. she's traumatized by him and i hope she learns to assert herself when around him.

Welcome in the comment section. You must be new here. Sadly... Yes, it is true. Now my top for personal reasons why this story in messed up (there is more...):
1- The author rely way to heavily on the fact that Tia never got over her feelings for him (you will understand when she start blushing when he still haven't done anything to win her over yet). Apparently, love don't need a reason and no matter what you have gone trought it will survive. Ruve might not have done anything in the second timeline, but Tia still remerber. That alone make him the worst possible love interest.
2- It puts the blame on Tia who was "cold" and so not good enought in the first timeline. As it is justify anything... The message it convey is "Tia needed to change to cater to the ML interest better to get her happy ending". Case on point: she was perfectly fine with keeping her poker face when put under enormous pressure and the worst possible abuse in the first timeline and then turn into a insansly emotionnal cry baby worst than Ji-eun ever was.
3- There was way better choices, be it for the ML (like Carsein or the freaking new introduced character, AKA the priest, who after 113 chapters have way more chemystry than the ML and the FL ever did). She could also have made a political marriage to protect her family's legacy.
4- The ML is not actually "better" in the second timeline. He just isn't prejudicied against Tia anymore and didn't have to choose between Tia and Ji-eun because Ji-eun couldn't hide her hatred toward him well enought this time around. He still neglected Tia when she was younger and only got better when he started getting physically attracted to her. He is still cold-hearted with a short-temper and over-all don't deserve her. Seriously, the "I am only decent with the girl I fancy" is a red flag, not a good thing at all.

OKAY i guess i'm dropping. i thought there was a chance of the manhwa artist changing the story and not making it so fucked up. thank you for notifying me. if tia isn't gonna stand up and be like melissa from beware of the villainess (which is to say braver and ready to destroy the male lead) then i'll have to resign from this manhwa.

I disagree with you.
The past is a reality that is separate from now. Tia changed a lot of things and the past prince cannot be compared. Also why Allen? He was creepy and obsessive. Carsein’s love for Tia is pure and respectful.
Maybe because you are on Chapter 10 but I would like to hear your thoughts when you finish all of it.

well, too late, i dropped. i was around the 20s when i dropped. i took a peek around chapter 110 or something, the latest chapter. i'm choosing anyone who isn't the prince, and i'm choosing any manwha that doesn't blame the main character for what they've done when it wasn't wrong. allendis is currently the only character i have as the male lead who isn't the prince. the prince, from what i've seen, is also arrogant especially because of his status, and i believe even the father is wary. the prince also just tips me off ig. pure, sure, if that's how you see it- but i don't see how it was pure if the past was a timeline of a person he'd grow to be if tia acted normally and not with fear.
weird in your eyes or not, i don't find allendis creepy if he's the only other choice that tia has over the prince. he seemed to care a lot more and pledged to be her knight. he has many options of brides, and he's pursuing tia. he acts more normal in my eyes to the prince, who just glares at tia when he dislikes something for the first 20-ish chapters until there's finally a chapter where he isn't glaring at tia for some annoying reason.
i can't give you what i think of the manhwa because i dropped it. i can't bear the annoyance. a lot of people have more patience and see things differently, so they probably could finish the manhwa, but i don't. i can't stick with manwhas that blame a character with PTSD and sticking the one solution to the readers saying "HEY, their situation was their own fault!! if only they acted like BLAH BLAH and BLAH" then i'm not sticking with it especially when tia was never at fault and acted normally.
you can give me YOUR thoughts of it when you finish it, but i'm not gonna bother putting up with the manwha ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍

Ahhh I can understand you though. I have finished it and know how it ends (in the novel) but in the beginning Allendis was not that bad so your points are definitely valid. Especially which how they treat Tia. I’m not really trippin, I honestly just want Tia to be with Carsein and become head of her house.

i was just really rooting for tia to be the head of her house and be the fabulously strong female lead with her sword lessons. perhaps reading adonis reminisce(?) wasn't best for me if i ended up making my preference stronger. i want tia to be assertive, let herself feel valid. i want her to recognize her strength. unfortunately, my patience is too low to see through the task of seeing her excel without the lead i don't feel so particularly good about.
sure, maybe the prince gets better, but he isn't better yet nor can i see a good trait from him yet, and i'm not that tolerating. i'm especially not tolerating of the way the story perceived tia and how the story puts the blame on her. if being with the prince is best for tia- fine, i'll be satisfied. but with how the story treats her, and with how they probably didn't get tia therapy and make her feel valid, and how tia may never be put to justice and have the story shown with sanity and in her light- that's probably not enough for me to stick with the story.
i'm glad we could reach an understanding. still, if allendis gets THAT bad then that's just another character off my potential "woah good guy fr" list.

I am so annoyed right now. I'm fucking here for that strong MC shit but she's too fucking weak and my patience is thinning. This is more for the people who have patience and sHE ISN'T. DOING. SHIT. SHE IS WEAK. HER POSITION IS TOO FUCKING WEAK. I AM LITERALLY ON CHAPTER 5, AND WHAT IS THIS ABOUT A STRONG FEMALE LEAD? yeah k done ranting. i'm gonna drop it. i rather not stress over something that may not even have the potential to be good.

Remember she is based off a real woman from ancient Egypt so she didnt have as much power as men, making it even harder for her to become Pharoah. You may think her weak but in reality she is very strong for taking on such a demanding role in society at the time, also she brought many good things to ancient Egypt and was a great Pharoah.....I may have done about 10hrs worth of history reaserch on her hehe. She is a very interesting person.
