I'm the idiot reverse polyglot: spoke Filipino as a kid, lost it in my preteens when I learned Italian after emigrating, now as a young adult I'm speaking exclusively English in my university and daily life and I feel like I'm slowly losing my Italian aswell. 25, mine would be to listen more, process what you hear and decide if it's something you should keep or not. Take all the time you need, ask if needed, it might take more out of you, you might want to just mindlessly follow what you're told instead, but it's worth the investment. You end up with a richer baggage and more solid foundations.   reply
