she is not in her current body , she is still a child and appears as such to everyone. saying "is it even grooming if she has the mind of an adult" is very weird and i would argue harmful, as lots of adults start taking advantage towards children by going "you are so mature for your age" , the ml very much sees her as a child right now. She is not an adult. It is only her *mental age* which groomers and pedophiles love to ephentize in real life with their victims, i agree this is not grooming as the romance hasnt started yet, and i would hope for it to pnly start once the female leas has completed her whole revenge and is a bodily adult, they ml himself is still a teenager and still has a developing brain. I would argue they both are of similar mental ages right now, but that doesnt matter at all as the physical body always comes first. The story right now is focusing on the revenge aspect and waiting for the female lead to complete the revenge, i would assume the author themselves would like to keep the romance till the female leads revenge is settled and till they are both bodily adults, the romance still hasnt started i would argue, its only mutual understanding that they feel, like that of friends, it will most likely be a slow burn, but that slow burn hasnt started yet, like i said they are focusing on the revenge plot at the moment

I agree with basically everything else you said. Yes it looks like the romance has taken the backseat here while she gets revenge. I’ve read from spoilers that it will really only start after the time skip rn the foundations are being laid. I know it’s a slow burn and I know that this is mostly a revenge story before it’s a romance. I and the OP were originally talking about other comments calling the ml weird and others saying the mc was being groomed. So I was saying that it doesn’t make sense because she’s literally an adult and her mental age is far above even the ml currently. What I’m confused about is why I’m being called weird? Or harmful.

Will give a mini story..when i was a teen like 13-14 yr old I read my first bl fanfic which was new for me, like was super confused as to what was happening. Didnt hate it but yeah confused. Even asked the author why did they think of having a boy on boy romance. Who knew I'll be stuck reading BL forever after that so that girl getting confused reminded me of that time for sure.
