I actually never noticed that until you mentioned it. However, she was considered countess when her stepmother was there (stepmother was previously considered the duchess I believe) and now that the stepmother is gone, Priscilla is considered the duchess? It might also have something to do with her married to Kian, but please don't take my word for it.
I also forgot to mention, that sometimes when switching translators, things like that get lost in translation so usually I skip over it and remember that Pricilla is a badass.

Honestly, I read a ton of these too but I never really understood it so I always skimmed over the title. I think with that knowledge, then the title probably got lost in the translation. Similar to how names sometime change whenever there is a new translator
