Wow I just know there is the alternative beginning.
I'm amazed that they made it this neat but it wasn't used, but I can see why. This beginning lose chance to introduce homunculus and also made Edward more cruel than the alternative version. He is still 15 and too naive to kill someone by turning him into a steel statue. I can see why this is dropped.
But it is an amazing alternative. I would feel pity if they completely throw it away.
