I read this some time back and I really liked the MC ( I forgot his name ). I still think he is very cute. But now re reading this I might have to say he is a tad bit annoying. Atleast a lil insufferable to me sometimes. I still like him tho just that my opinion about how his character is written has changed with time. Some people will love that about him but I kind of get a little frustrated with people like that.
Meanwhile OOOFFF I loved Hibiki this time around. I love his snarky gay ass. His potty mouth that insults people so well. I love how he is in general. Loved him before and love him still. He's a character that really aged well for me.

This could have worked as good if it was maybe a uni kid but someone in highschool and someone in their late 20s? Ooof. The vibes could have been perfect if they didn't make one of them a freakin highschool kid . and first read dthis when i ws 14 or something then i re read it like 2 or 3 years ago and those 2 times i thought this was really cute but now this shit is so wrong..... it's romanticized and sweetened enough so many ppl don't notice that and I don't want to be THAT intense person trying to make a fuss over a fictional story (i mean that would be hypocritical since i enjoyed it in the past) but that doesn't mean we can't criticize and calling out this manga lmao
I think if I read this when I was a teen, I'd be naive and romanticize this too. But as someone in their mid 20s now. I absolutely cannot digest the fact that one of them is a high school kid . I think those who are hating others for criticising it are just teens too. I don't mind them getting upset at me rn, as long as they don't actually get into such a predatory relationship irl. I am actually hoping for less drama. sometimes I think there can be too much complications within plots just to keep the audience engaged. Maybe most people enjoy that but I think a lot of people just want some drastic personality shifts within characters. Like you'll not watch this guy grovel because I doubt that's in his nature. (Although I would like him to pine a bit more too lol)
The mc also never really showed his "desperation" in a way that's hard to watch. I think they both have been "adult" in their behaviours. That's why I like them both even with their shortcomings. I get this sense of calmness from both of them weirdly enough, and that for me makes them really compatible. They give of my nice vibe as a pair.
