i forgot the link where i read this .. but the hidden antagonist is Yvonne.. she's a member of a cult who worship a bad dark goddess andseh had a mission to bringthe goddess to their world which will make killed a lot people... and Penelope is a great mage who tries to warn the king, and the capture targe tbut that goddess has cursed penelope so everybody will think of penelope as a very vicious villainess... because of the curse the capture target were brainwashed so they never really hear the warning until it was too late the goddess almost destroy the world and penelope the mage is dead...but vinter woke up from the brainwashed state of loving yvonne, and he really regret helping yvonne, so vinter used some elaborate magic to turn back time and by that try to salvage penelope's soul, which end up making penelope's soul transmigrated and born in modern day korea... but the curse were branded on her soul so her half brother hates her, and her biological father neglect her and no matter where she's born people will be wary of penelope... feel free to correct me.. oh i need to add that eclipse symbol is black rose which describe as obsession not love... to the point he betray penelope because he was the one who brought back the antagonist home in this timeline so penelope will lose her status and position in eckart and can only rely on him .. i always know the more obedient eclipse the more suspicious he is.. turns out he is the small hidden antagonist... but he try to atone by protecting penelope when the goddess' pet a gold dragon attacking penelope.. he died...

She doesn't want to have anything to do with the prince because she is afraid of him and doesn't want to die. After she tells him that she likes him, he starts to get interested in her.
She meets him again at a hunting contest and there she tells him that she has given up on him and that she doesn't want to hope for something hopeless, because he is the prince (in truth she just wants him to stop pestering her) but that doesn't work. Also, there is another way to raise the affection of someone, that is by finishing some task like finding things or beating some monsters (or Bears).
There are many reasons why the affection of the prince rises for her but the moments aside from the first meeting I can remember are this:
- she fights some monster that no one can beat because she has a magical crossbow (that surprises him, because she is really OP in this moment)
- he gets/steals a pendant with protection magic in it for the hunting contest from her (at first she wanted to gift it to rennald, than came the prince and took it for himself and brags about it before the duke and the two brothers)
- she also participates in the hunting contest and needs to fight a bear alone as a task but is losing so the prince resures her in the last moment and wants her to take the head of the bear to testify that she beat the bear but before that they are attacked by assasins
- the prince gets shot by an arrow but it hits the pendant and she cries for him not to die in front of her (I think that also raises his affection for her)
- they both flee on horse and she will shot the assassins as a game task (again like OP) but the prince will get stabbed by an poisoned dagger because he wanted to save MC and they both will fall of a cliff
- and just like in any other novel they will find a cave to rest and there they start to get to know each other better and he also comforts her because she is still afraid of the bear attack (by hugging her from behind, so that she can calm down)
- but the poison will start to kick in and they will need to get back soon, but because it is a game storyline, they will find an ancient map in the cave to teleport (I can't write in detail what else there was in the cave, to complicated for MTL:blobsweat_2:)
- but after they teleport he will collapse and MC will only cry for him not to die in front of her again, but they soon will be found by knights and she will be arrested for trying to murder the prince

Rennald is a Tsundere so you can think how he acts when he and Penelope have some kind of sweet moments. He isn't a bad person either, because he is the only one to help Penelope with her maid and even when she dangles in front of his window he tries to help her. He is also worried for her when the prince wounds her. Also when she is accused of attempted murderer he was, beside the duke, the only one to trust her and knew she couldn't have done it (said that even if she is crazy, she isn't THAT crazy). But he also can't accept her as his sister and blames her for taking his sisters place. When the duke opens the third floor for Penelope again, he meets Penelope in the room where original Penelope always hid in the past and there he accused her again for stealing his sisters place and that he will never accept her. Penelope is fed up with him at that point so she tells him about Penelope dark past (which she came up with) where she lived on the street with her mother with nothing to eat and no where to sleep and that when her mother died she didn't even had money to bury her or buy herself something to eat. She tells him that he doesn't know anything about her so he shouldn't accuse her of something. Rennald is shocked by her past and tells her he didn't know she had such a hard live. After that Penelope doesn't go to the third floor again, because she isn't original Penelope so it doesn't mean much to her, but Rennald ask why she doesn't go to the third floor again and she tells him because she doesn't want to meet him. Rennald feels bad about treating Penelope bad, but because he is a Tsundere the change isn't shown much.

Derrick on the other hand shows changes by even a little bit of affection really soon . He takes the same carriage as her to go to the birthday banquet and even wants to help her in and out of the carriage. He is shocked and worried when she is wounded and collapsed after what the prince did and he goes to see her and talk to her after what happened to make sure that everything is alright with her. He also brought a bracelet with a red gem for Penelope and puts magic in the bracelet so she can change her apperance when she decides to sneak out again because he knows he can't stop her but he wants to be sure that she will not be attacked. He was also panicked when she got lost on the festival and searched for her desperately. And he gets jealous of the duke and the prince when they get a protection pendant from Penelope for the hunting competition. But the problem with Derrick is that even when he is nice to her, he doesn't trust her fully on changing for the better and thats why he doesn't trust her when she is accused of attempted murderer. He goes to her when she is being held in jail but he doesn't try to ask her what happened and what her side of the story is but goes to straigt to ask her if she has really done it and Penelope sees that he really thinks that she did it. So she doesn't try to tell him anything and only said to him that when he believes that then he should just let her be and let her die or rott in prison. But on the trial he tries to help her but Penelope wins the trial even without his help and after that he goes to her and apologized but also tells her that she should understand him because she always does crazy things. But Penelope doesn't give him a chance and said that she doesn't expect anything from him and that she doesn't accept his apology. Penelope also thought that with his action she felt like he broke some strings between them and that in true she wanted him to trust her. At this point Derrick understood that he did her wrong and tries to get her trust again. But don't worry, Penelope is not the kind of character that forgives him fully but also doesn't overdo it by being to cold. After the hunting competition he tries to apologize again and explains why he thought that and that he knows he was wrong.

What I forgot to tell, the moment she got more than 70% affection by Eclipse(the slave/knight), she couldn't see the affection rate of all the capture targets anymore and only sees a colourful bar. Only by touching and paying a gold sum can she see the affection rate for a moment again. The colour tells her in which state of affection the capture target is, the problem is, she doesn't know which colour means what. At the point I am reading the colours of each capture target are:
Eclipse - Red
Prince - Red
Magician - Violet
Derrick - Orange
Rennald - Pink
The magician told her that he is interested in her, so I think that violet means only that. It is also more than obliviously that Eclipse is in love with Penelope and that the Prince started to fall for her, too. Rennald has I think a little crush on her and Derrick has a conflict with his feeling for her.

This is about her original life:

she saw through a mirror that in her real world she is in the hospital with stomach cancer and by her side are her two brothers waiting for her to get better
- her father in real world hurried to America to get the best doctors for her
- she wanted to quickly go back to the real world to save herself from cancer but in the last chapter the prince is injured but later healed
- she does finish the game and gets the chance to go to the hidden route (apparently that is the route to go to the real world and life there) but she declines and stays in the game world because she feel in love with the prince and doesn't want to separate with him
- what happened after that is not written but because her soul doesn't go to the real world I think she will die in the real world because of cancer

Vinter is a very sweet boy. So those kids that we saw in chapter 33 was orphanges that Vinter takes care. He also teach them magic (I think I might messed up this part, they might have magic before Vinter teach them but mtl is just complicated) The reason why he was unhappy when he meet Penelope inside that place is because he want to keep the kids to stay hidden and protect them from harm. Nobles in the Empire are seeking for magicians and might harm the kids if they know they can use magic. (And so that's why Vinter keep his identity as a mage a secret) So he beg Penelope to keep everything a secret. And he doesn't want to erase Penelope's memory because she will faint and can't go back to her mansion by her own.
