Because at that time Klaus told Suguri not to let Taki visit him as he afraid that he will hurt Taki unconciously. But Taki then visited him thus getting all the injuries that Klaus mentioned at the end of the chapter 2.
So is "Rose of 100 days" the continuation of "Maiden Rose" or not? It's been a long time since I last read this I don't remember much anymore:<
