How is she wonderful? Like I get she’s the main character and she’s made to be this wonderful, gentle and fragile heroine but like she also fricken manipulated the duke’s whole situation and life to the point where he was pretty much forced to marry her. And for what?? So that she could stay in the same town with the man she truly loves? She’s just using him and his situation and status so that she could have what she wants. Like yea the duke ain’t no better and he’s a douche but how is u gonna make up a whole ass lie, tell it to everyone, make a huge scandal, print it in the newspapers, tell the king about fake feelings while also clinging onto the duke as if she actually loved him, like what?? that all just describes EXACTLY how female antagonists are in other mangas just like these and if she wasn’t the female lead, y’all wouldn’t have some sort of bias towards her and believe what she does is okay. Honestly she creeps me the hell out, like she has no real emotions and all she really is, is a pitiful, fragile, damsel and distress that should be cherished and loved since she’s the happy-go-lucky main character even tho she does things that are not okay.

I know but that is the era they set up with. I’ve read lots of victorian era stories and this is by far lighter. Whether english/chinese set up, days where obligation is your priority, Ingrid is already plenty good person. Honestly her personality is tailored just for Regan. She’s a wonderful person perfect for such a twisted Regan coz despite being a trashy person he himself acknowledge as, she still see the goodness in him.
I mean, who wants to stay wholeheartedly with a person as batshit crazy as Regan. Only another batshit crazy girl like Ingrid I think. ╮(￣▽￣)╭

Also also i can't just let go of this ingrid married regan because she wants to stay in the city where she has everything, and not become "one" of the queen that could easily be abandoned and left alone in a miserable state in a new city, this facts where already known by regan as she told it to him especially the one about the misunderstanding where she still loves hector which is wrong because she already settled her feelings for him, and they did parted in a good way and also hector and her father. Read it and understand it again please, its a good story.

ML is emotionally unstable, unable to control himself and has no social skills but fl is cold and has perfect control over herselfe and people around her including ml which is crucial because this is what ml needs someone to tame him this sounds cliche but that's how I think their relationship works though I genuinely dont understand why she is trying so much maybe to make their relationship better? But I don't really think that she is just kind and doing so much for him without any ulterior motives it would make her charecter boring two dimensional and make whole comic waste of time because she could have chosen an easier target and I hope in the end we will find out about fl feelings and thoughts more. I hope i'm not overthinking things (￣∇￣")

Ikr? She’s the only person who can straighten out Regan and doing that is tedious job that any woman will find it tiring and annoying.
I also think she wants their relationship to be better. I mean, given her doing those ridiculous control of events, she’s not really a high maintenance person. Its more like she just want to live a stable life, or at least bearable even.
