The only thing that keeps me from wishing they'd separate for good is the thought of sejin suffering because of the bond. Ido, redemption doesn't mean erasure of the fucked up things that you do. That's why their story feels more like a moral dilemma for me. Would you forgive a person knowing they still haven't done the horrific things they've done in the future? Or in their case, past?
What Ido had done to sejin pre-reincarnation is nothing more than a mistake. It's his choice to rape him, it's his choice to be abusive to sejin, he chose to only look at what he want to look in their alleged marriage. He's really a bitch. Cuz what do you mean he only cared after his death lol. If the reincarnation didn't happen, there's no way to redempt.
True they lack communication like most of these manhwas do but yeah ido did care he was starting to let himself fall in love with sejin and actually take their marriage seriously until sejin decided to betray him bc he let himself be gaslighted by the family who just took him in to use him so everything ido felt when he found out was valid he was betrayed he didnt know what to do bc they're married and when the brother r*ped sejin he thought sejin slept with him willingly bc sejin said so too they never really clarified anything with e/o ido only ever found out the truth when they bonded and sejin never said anything thats why when the reincarnation happened ido made sure that they talk to e/o before they sleep bc he knows thats what they lacked in the past
"The sounds I heard in my ears were like
harmonies you could only find underwater. If I
had to die, I wanted to drown in this ocean
named you. Death is scary. But I felt like I
wouldn't be afraid of any death if I died in your
arms."
When seungwon said that i nearly cried. How can a person love you so much that they would accept their deepest fears just to be with you.
In season 2, after he wakes up in the hospital he had this brief psychotic episode where he couldn't distinguish reality with his hallucinations from the building collapsing (past life) it got to a point where they had to sedate him cuz he was panicking so much . Also it's true he's addicted to alcohol since it's the only thing that soothes his body pain. But guys after they had a deep convo in the hospital, the seme actually helped him stop with the cigarettes (the uke suffers from addiction due to depression. Not a diagnosis but heavily implied) and i loved him for that
I just wanna complain because what the fuucckjk T.T when i read the novel A LOTT happened before the treatment happened. And during the rescuing too, but now i realized the way the manhwa is summarized made it look shit compared to novel i understand the vast difference is inevitable but yeah HAHAHA
A lot of “emotional” stories behind the characters! Their thoughts mostly for the vassals, etching the scene of their lord crying in their mind. Going on a killing spree — and yes, the MC was sobbing the entire time he was in Luhak’s arm in the novel and his cries can be heard while the vassals are fighting. So imagine the torture hearing their lord’s sufferings so yeah it’s mostly the emotionally part that’s missing. You will feel more inclined with the characters had they not skipped those — especially Mr. Froggy!
I'm not sure how to put it in detail but there was a long scene in the novel before luhak even spread his wings to cover sehyun when they rescued him.
(Below are from novel)
<Euncheong's cold voice carried both sorrow and warning.
"...Remember this. What we are about to do is not slaughter. But it must be more brutal than any slaughter has ever been. We will kill without killing. Under no circumstances" (done)
And in the novel, you can see how deeply luhak cares about sehyun. Cuz in the manhwa it's really hard to see? He's kind of portrayed as cold person too much in manhwa for me. ANDDD in the manhwa they straight up just fixed sehyun's wings. They didn't include the contract they made with the nature kingdom to acquire the highhh grade healing potion (the gold one that they used on the wings ti grow). And in the novel, all the vasals are waiting outside the door cold from the snow, but idk why theyre in a building in manhwa. It was too fast

I just realized how badly they downplayed lili's powers. If she's stronger than allen, she could've easily beat the opponents by joining the frontlines. Tho i understand the plot demands for her to be in the rear
