It completely throw away the novel, like bye. It’s so weird, cause it usually completely otherwise, ML is often whitewashed in adaptations by not showing some bad shit. But here ML just acting like decent human being in time skip, yet in adaptation his just the same old Pei but also stupid.
P.S now, at 119 chapter, even more so, they threw away all the sweet so long awaited drama from novel, like Qi giving Pei cold treatment after regaining his memories while giving Tang his care. It was such anticipated moments, like it was worth reading for it. Like it’s basically climax of the story. Why would they get rid of it?And again Pei is better in the novel, so readers care more.
