For those saying it was “realistic” & “not supposed to be a cliche happy romance”. Pretty sure we all enjoy some fresh realistic non-healthy/angst/devlopment BL. This however couldn’t even deliver on that. It was too out of place and felt like the author sorta just rushed from G all to Z, for the sake of the title of the work. “Gotta make it a happy ending” Like it drugged the MC and made him all teehee and complacent with the still existing insecurities or fears he had in 3 seconds within the same chapter, felt as if it was a bonus chapter or AU story that would come much later down the line.
Wish it didn’t even have that “happy” forced ending. It would have actually felt realistic in that sense if it was bittersweet still instead of “ teehee our happy ending “

Honestly, I felt the chapters before ch 5 were a good build up...but that climax was disgusting. Like, I get them not moving on from the ones they love, but then Soma started dating Wataru when he still had feelings for his ex lol. So what was all that for? Didn't Wataru say he wanted time? Wasn't he more experienced about this topic? How come he got into that shitty rs.

Soma was unbearable to the end lol. So lax and just does whatever the hell he wants without consideration for his partner
Realistically, many depressing ass fights in store for them in the future. That last chapter was also surreal, writer had the MC too easily getting past that weird ass setup. Felt out of place and character

To think the MC became the most annoying and unlikeable of the 3… he was ironically just as much of a selfish asshole. His thought process was very daft & one dimensional. Kept crying about wanting it to be different but he was just so vague & nonsensical “ you just don’t get it? “
sir, you’re like a broken record. You don’t even get it yourself, just mutually shitty at communication himself

I c where you’re coming from but I feel like the others were worse. Personally I think Cain takes cake though.
Jooin was going thru heartbreak and trying to move on and dump yahwi for being such a dick. Then Cain said “use me” and even tho Jooin first said no, Cain persisted he do it. So he did, but then Jooin just felt guilty. It was almost as if Cain’s approach was “as long as your thinking about it” even if it was hurting Jooin.
This doesn’t mean Yahwi isn’t shitty either. I just don’t need to explain it bc it was plain as day. Like that guy sucked majorly.
Jooin made SOO many dumb decisions but I feel like if the both of them laid off him for two seconds he could have actually thought things through. They both were pushing him for answers that he couldn’t even search for himself. So it was coming off as selfish and repetitious bc no one was listening to him.

I had no problem with Jooin becoming flawed himself after the trauma, so I see a lot of your points. I think the style of writing just made it incredibly unbearable for me, just felt too childish and redundant. Like a fever dream telenovela with the same dramatic reiterations and no progress for chapters on chapters, thus my “Broken record” remark. I love slow burn angst but it was just very frozen on the same note for chapters on chapters, rinse repeat.
The cliche abused/mistreated MC getting his lick back premise has worked fine in other BL series, hell I even think they relented too easily and didn’t give their asshole love interests payback enough after being strung along rudely/violently. However, the style of payback/character development for the MC here was just tiring. The other two seemed to be favored with their pacing and development half way through, while the writer was stuck 50+ chapters with the MC’s, his inner dialogue suddenly wasn’t as productive

Tired of these ugly ass plastic toy looking dick redraws by the translator teams, makes it look corny and downgrades the art

Oof, that means I’m insulting the artist as well. First came across the censored light saber raws, why I assumed it was a scanlation team doing the redraws again. My dumb thinking there
Welp, I guess it’s no longer a misdirected backhanded insult since I still think it’s crap. Rare case where the artist censored version is superior

This isn’t even weird it’s just tragic. There’s a few novels and films with a similar theme regarding separated lovers.
He did honor his lovers wishes at least, none of it was his fault since he could have been hunted or caught at anytime. And thus even if he was too late he still kept his promise in the end.

Some part of me feels like there’s another twist. The obvious case is he had an obsession with him since long ago and set him up in jail so he would be hopeless and dependent on him when he got out, cause he would have no one on his side after being falsely convicted
Regardless whether he’s lying about what he did to that poor child or conveniently had someone else do it for his master scheme to obtain the dude he wanted all along, hope he gets a miserable death at the very end
And it feels like something right out of a fever dream but… give them credit for sticking through with it. In a couple years if they remake it and have all the nonsensical plot holes tied down, this could be an amazing horror bl WEBTOON. It’s odd but that’s how a lot of popular Japanese horror manga stick out and claim their way to fame. It has potential.
