I read a different story (well, two) where the reborn empress had to live with the sorrow of the loss of her ORIGINAL son, and prayed for him to be reborn into happiness. In one story, the rival bitch cut off the son's head. I always hope the so is reborn, too, into whatever child the FL has, which would be double happy. But ultimately, when you are reborn, if you marry someone else, the child will not be the SAME child. All youc an hope is that in the story universe, they get a reincarnation full of joy.
