1. season 1 was great. I love the pacing. I love how the author introduced the characters. I love the FL & ML. Their personalities are concrete and simple(for the genre).
2. However, the author started off the story boldly(which is nice and hooked me to the story) by saying that the emperor will eventually like FL but, correct me if iām wrong, I saw no development of ML falling in love with FL in the middle of the 1st season until the very last chapter which basically repeated the teaser chapter. The actions of ML and FL throughout s1 were too platonic. So adjusting from this assertive and cool-headed ML to a simp in just one chapter was too uncomfortable.
3. The progression of FL and donauās relationship was cliche yet very satisfying and just amazing. Honestly, the author couldāve just made FL and donau be together and Iād call it a day lmao
4.season 2 in the other hand...trash(but if you liked s2 itās ok i respect your opinion so I hope you respect mine). The pacing was mediocre. This whole season was about bringing the leadsā relationship closer but I never felt it and iāve read some spoilers saying that FL will realize her feeling only when ML gets married which (for me) is too sudden(if the author wanted to add realism she should know that love at first sight is doomed to die out). I know we some parts wherein FL gets jealous but after that she seems fine. All iām saying that progression isnāt very evident.
5.I do appreciate tho how the author takes into account the realities of politics. Iād also like to point out that if the author is trying to deliver a message that women can also take on male roles she shouldāve added some scenes of FL teaching the twins how to yield a sword.
6.Overall this whole story was pretty great and the author is very good in coming up with storylines and I know itās not perfect but no one can satisfy everyone. The criticism from this is only based from my preferences so please donāt take any of these info seriously and think of it as a law.

I can see where and why he fell for her, though. I don't believe it was love at first sight, I do think that in the beginning he was surprised to find a woman on the battlefield and she was more accomplished than the average knight due to her smarts. He got interested in her because of that, but he gave her a lot of special treatment and they spent a lot of time around each other, season one also happened over the course of ten years, it's not impossible that he could have fallen for her in that time and only realized it at the end of the season.
I just don't see how this story could end believably with the two of them getting together.
I guess you are right in the fact that he might have fallen for her during the span of 10 years. It just the execution that made me a lil iffy cause one part in s1 about the rumor of them ādatingā, both seemed so nonchalant about it. It was just hard for me to adjust to the change of behavior of ML. The realizations were just too fast for me lol but the story would be much more realistic if the author doesnāt put them together, I agree. Either way Iād still be satisfied with whichever outcome and the author did a good job nonetheless.
