It was a little alarming to me. I love shoujo and silly plot lines as much as the next person. However, I found it really creepy that we've basically got a stalker, who has completely one sided feelings, who is still aggressively pursuing his interest, and everyone around them is like "Hey, I know you don't like him at all, but because he has feelings for you you'll have to put up with him and date him anyways." Honey, that's not fated destiny. That's an unhealthy relationship bordering on abuse. It's even worse that adults who should know better are also condoning and even trying to manipulate her into finally giving up the fight and letting him date her simply because of his feeling. Your life should not be dictated by other people's feelings. And it's really creepy the parents are talking about marriage when these people are 13 or 14.
I don't actually like the attack on titan series (season one was less compelling to me over time after the biting a human in half thing in the first episode), BUT I LOVE THIS! It's got a lot of plot and background and is going in really interesting directions.
Did you try reading the manga instead of watching the anime? The manga is much better. They left some things out of the anime. If you still don't like it, that's too bad. Everyone has their own likes and dislikes though.
