Miyuki x Eijun as the main battery surely like a sinking ship right now.
It is so sad that Miyuki role in Eijun pitcher life is only as a reason for him to enter Seidou. OFC, Miyuki teach Eijurs a lot not only about numbers but also other things. But, Chris-senpai teach Eijun most of it and Miyuki spent most of the time an chapters with Furuya anyway.
Usually, baseball manga has certain couple that is presented as the main battery such as Ren Mihashi x Takaya Abe in Ookiku Furikabute. I always think that Miyuki x Eijun is the main battery or at least the future main battery. I always think that this is the kind of manga where the hero aka Eijun has to pass many hurdles and struggles before being able to paired with his dreamed catcher Miyuki and Miyuki in the end accept and acknowledge Eijun as a worthy ace.
Turns out, I am SO WRONG. 100+ chapter and 1 act passed, there is no where of Miyuki x Eijun in sight.

me too, at first I read this manga and the way they meet, I always think that someday they'll be the main battery, but turn out there is someone who is more than Eijun (Furuya),
and then I still hope maybe in the next tournament Eijun will be ace but turn out Furuya become stronger and the third years retired, Furuya become the ace..
and now the second years almost up, but there is no sign that Eijun will be ace yet...

Miyuki already acknowledge Eijun has the potential to be the ace after the last Furuya bad game tragedy. But, ofc, not fully, he along with Coach Kataoka still believe that Furuya is better. I think only Ochiai - as ironic as it is - considers Eijun worth as an ace or even thought of replacing Furuya with Eijun. So, yeah, along with you, it really give a bad taste. I fear for an ending where we have to see Miyuki retired without paying a single game fully with Eijun as the ace or without fully acknowledging Eijun as a diamond ace. You know what? I'm afraid that all of what we both feared and dislike is happening. Mainly because the mangaka seems to love torturing Eijun and favored Furuya a lot.

I CAN'T BELIEVE of ALL PEOPLE, MIYUKI YOUUUUU .. i don't know what to say,
this chapter told me exactly what was on Miyuki head till now, he's never see Sawamura "shouldering the ace number", he just see him as an interesting pitcher. and a rival to make Furuya evolves..
now that i know the main catcher (re: Miyuki) not yet to acknowledge Sawamura actually can be the ace till this day, I am not really hoping they could be the main battery on this summer, I dangerously began to think that it will be okay to let Furuya take the mound this summer as the ace with Miyuki ( it's doesn't make me happy though), and then give Sawamura-Okumura's battery the next season..
P.S, I AM UPSET, kind of.. ╥﹏╥
