They have way more chemistry than Paresha does with the crown prince. The way Paresha looked at her when they first met??? Lets be serious. And if either Paresha or the Empress were a male character, nobody would question them loving each other as more than friends.
Why do so many East Asian mangas not understand bisexuality? You’d think that with the progression of LGBTQ+ conversations on the internet, people wouldn’t think it so weird or uncommon to like more than one gender.
