Why do so many East Asian mangas not understand bisexuality? You’d think that with the progression of LGBTQ+ conversations on the internet, people wouldn’t think it so weird or uncommon to like more than one gender. Not to teabag on people that decide to write characters who aren’t well-versed or uneducated about LGBTQ+ (because at one point, I didn’t know you could like both either), but it’s literally the B… I don’t understand it.
in my perspective the author is just writing a character that is quite realistic. most east asians aren't educated in lgbtq+ because of harmful stereotypes and there are also a lot of homophobia in east asian countries which could be why people are scared. they're scared of the unknown yet they don't even try to know. let me know if i misunderstood your comment :) (also sorry if my english is bad)
Agreed. And most of the East Asian countries have their own sns where they marinate on more than what most people in the West use (like IG, X, etc.). So, we could assume that their knowledge about LGBTQ+ would likely still be constricted within their culture and beliefs rather than what's internationally progressive.
Yes some east asian countries still treated lgbt as sin or mental problem that why we are not get well educated about lgbt except propaganda about how dangeours lgbtq+ are by cishet homophobe ppl. being openly queer it means we need to ready losing our life, Sometimes ppl think being bisexual means you are being gay and lesbian just for fooling around and then stopped just for marry opposite gender and have normal family. That why being closeted queer are common in here, also internalized homophobia are exist in asian queers because we has been taught just to life are normal ppl and have normal family and being gay or les or bi meaning dirty sin are digusting:) good for you tho who life in lgbt welcome environment
They have way more chemistry than Paresha does with the crown prince. The way Paresha looked at her when they first met??? Lets be serious. And if either Paresha or the Empress were a male character, nobody would question them loving each other as more than friends.
