Am I the only one who doesn’t ship Lester with yuri, not only is there a big age gap but he actually saw her grow up like family. I don’t know he seems more like friend or relative, well for me at least.

Like an alternative ending because in the first one he was rescued or taken idk. Since one showed him getting taken, while this showed a big wave over taking them. You also see a boy and girl similar to the ones that died last time. The man also has the same gun as him, and the house they boy and the girl dreamed of. Then again the hair doesn’t match, but it showed that a lot of time has gone by meaning it could also be gray or white hair. You also see the little girl (with black hair) pop up a lot of time.
No it's a time jump. It's showing the boy after many years. After he was "rescued", he went to join the military and fought in war.
