Is communicating that hard like-
I understand it honestly, cuz like imagine not being able to say whats on your mind for your ENTIRE life and suddenly u have to communicate every single thing while thinking you are a nuisance to them its pretty hard

That is true but they are in a relationship now and have not only known each other for just a few weeks. Is bad character development. And authors mostly add miscommunication so the readers have something to feed on. On top of that, Ash should be good with communication, if I understood his character right. I love both characters but honestly is nothing more than miscommunication. Good way to go into an unhealthy relationship. Won’t last long too. For me personally it makes it less enjoyable but that’s a taste thing. :0
The last few chapters have been so infuriating. Their communication had barely to no development. Both still stuck in their own delusions. Maxi is getting the basic female lead treatment and is showing. Boring and annoying. I hoped for a strong character development but really what is this. Crying and throwing a tantrum. Going behind her husbands back to get what she wants. Sounds like a child to me. And she wants to fight in a war? Honestly. Don’t get me started on Riftan. But let’s be honest, he has every right to worry about her. I would be worried too. And what’s wrong with the other knights? They’re all ridiculous. I can already see how the next chapters are going to be and I know I will not enjoy it. I just hope Maxi will maybe get a better character development and will get her own character. Not some basic character that we’ve seen hundred times before. And Riftan should pull that stick out of his ass.
Sorry for the rant but is been really bothering me.
Finally someone seeing that Riftan isn’t an overbearing prick who wants to cut Maxi’s wings wow, I am happy to read that. How can he not worry about her when he’s known her to live in the duke’s castle for all her life, plus those times she fainted when they encountered monsters ? Plus, he can see she improved but if they, the stongest knights of the kingdom, need a healer for the trip, so it is dangerous for them, how won’t it be for her, when she’s still in the beginning of her magic learning? But I don’t find her looking like a child, her behaviour is understandable, it is the first time she’s done something for other people and got praises, and she only want to proctect her husband and the knights she finally got to get closer with at the end. But she’s definitely stubborn.
Trust the process, she will definitely have a good development. But you’ll have to build a very strong patience lol, this story pace is very slow but i swear it is so worth it
