I think he know the MC from before the booking incident..I'm guessing that's why he know MCs gold digger bf.. Then he went to talk in gold diggers uni, he know what he look now, pretty easy to hunt his prey.. But these are just my own interpretation of the story... Would be nice to read more to it..
You could be right. The BF did say he looked at him when killer went to Uni. Im sure there's a backstory somewhere about the killer and MC, guess the "romance" part is definitely out of the window
